ANYTHOUGHTS ON MY TEAM GUYS???

I don't think you have enough saints.;)

dont understand how masten can start ahead of macnamara. masten hasnt played a preseason match against afl footballers. the give or take 40 possesion game he had was an intra club match for a sanfl team.
dont understand
There's a reason Masten was taken at number 3 in the draft. He was captain of the WA under 18s (iirc) and is an outstanding player. Definitely AFL-ready. He and JMac may both debut Rd 1, they are both great players.

Hansen = Burton = Kosi = Maguire = SJohnson = In___y Pr___e
Exactly right. Yet the majority of posters still manage to get sucked in somehow. It baffles me.

ANYTHOUGHTS ON MY TEAM GUYS???

There is a thread for posting teams already buddy, they aren't that hard to find...

In the quest not to start any more than two rookies on the field (not including Houli) is it worthwhile downgradiung 1 premium player such as Joel Bowden to somebody who will average very consistenly like Beau Waters or Chris Newman so that i can upgrade J-Mac to a Prismall or other player who should be a bit more or a safe bet. I know Prismall isnt guaranteed a start in the Cats side but i feel once he gets in he will play well enough so that when Wojinski comes back he will stay. Its a game of risk versus reward so mayb i should keep my team as it is because im comfortable that the players im taking a risk on will come off

The main reason you would not play 3 rookies on the field is because of the chance they will not consistently get a game so to change one for Prismall is frying pan to fire IMO. He will score well if he plays but you still have 3 players at risk of getting a game.

bartel? taking into account price/value. He has to average 117 to not drop. cross is who i would pick except i already have him so any other suggestions?

do you know what carrazzo, lappin, ablett and mitchell have to average in the first 3 rounds not to drop??

thanks in advance

Not sure on Masten, but I know that Ebert was the SA Under 18s captain, which is what you may have been thinking of.

Masten was WA's captain as well as Ebert who was SA's captain...
They picked up a great bunch of kids the Eagles, so they should've though, as they lost one of / if not the best player in the AFL, Juddy...

have a bit of a problem

have 2 premium priced centres and also have Kane Cornes.....he is a dreamteam God i know but down back i currently have mackie..is it worth downgrading Kane to Lenny and upgrading mackie to either Joel Bowden or mcphee + 20 grand

it sounds better, but it is Kane Cornes we are talking about.

Would love some suggestions

Now there is a question I've been asking myself - with Judd at the Chris Judd All-Stars and Kerr being, as he is, like an injury manufacturing plant - who is going to step into the Eagle's midfield?

im not sure y everyone is obssessing over 'who will step up in the eagles midfield'
not a single person has said that perhaps the total output from the eagles midfield could possibly decrease rather then some average players filling in for some superstars who are no longer there
the idea that the eagles midfield wont be as strong seems a lot more logical

These guys are already there:
Stenglein, Embley, Priddis, Fletcher, Braun, A.Selwood, Staker, Hurn

And these guys will be putting their hands up:
McNamara, Masten, S.Selwood, Ebert

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but CH10 Sports just reported here in Perth that WCE are unlikely to play either Masten, Selwood or Ebert in round 1.

l.henderson good choice?

tossing up between josh fraser and kosi in the ruck. im thinking that they could both be in for good yrs as wood taking more of the ruck mantle could release fraser to finally play this goodes type role that malthouse has been talking up for a while and kosi is on the verge of exploding and becoming a gun up forward. there are apparently questions over frasers fitness???

thoughts?

Which really shouldn't be that suprising. Did they mention J-Mac at all? Or Freo's Rhys Palmer?

Indeed especially when you take in to account that WC don't have a habit of playing 1st year players in round 1. Even Judd didn't make it round 1.

Nothing official as far as Palmer goes but they did say he was a ball magnet at today’s training and would have caught the eyes of the selectors.

been told fraser aint playing in round 1 however as a saints fan i recommend not getting kozi as he will be mainly if not completely in forward line, only at his amazing best for dt when hes ruckmen around the ground.

id head for hamish mcintosh instead or possibly gilmore or pattison for cheaper options.
