Double chapman .

Umm yeh your team looks pretty good, i can see you have gone with a weakish midfield and spend the rest of your cash on both your forward and backline.

Overall looks pretty dam good to me.

haha oops my bad.

Too bad this is my dads team and not mine. In his first year and he was the one that picked the b jones and thornton i helped him with the younger players. Starting to wish i copied him haha.

Don't get Osbourne. With midfielders like Lewis, Crawf, Mcglynn to come back he will go back to the forward pocket and score 50's again.

would like some opinions on my team guys

got 2 trades planned this week

current cash = 3,700

In: Hill, Thornton
Out: Fev, S Stevens

+243k in bank

then next week

cash = 246,700

In: Hall (if he continues his form), R Palmer
Out: Vince, C Jones (gain 100k before Palmer rises in price)

most likely -30k

then the week after

cash = 210k
In: Pavlich
Out: Lucas

most likely -60k

i know im using 5 trades here but after them ill have this fwd line

Brown Pavlich Hall T Cloke
Rioli Deledio Hill

with Tippett as EMG. probably going to keep it that way barring injury.

my centres will be well backed up by palmer (more likely to play more games than jones/cash cow + valenti who's close to selection ive read here)

as for my backs, well ill have 150k to upgrade proud or ellis. planning on retaining symes for the whole year. and ive got two reserves who have already played and are likely to get more games this year.

what do you guys think??

First DT I've seen without Porps. Streuth, you're obviously a snooker player, planning 6 moves ahead.
Good theory, lots of trades though

Didn't you ask about a trade to give you cash so you could upgrade Lucas to BJ/Chappy earlier, if so then I may have another solution for you, trade out Hartlett for Nathan Brown. Gives you about $20k back in the bank and should then allow you to upgrade Lucas to either one of them. My reason for going to Brown is he looks like being a player you can leave on your bench for the whole season and use him if you're faced with scoring a couple of 0's in a round or 2 due to short term injuries. Again take it for what its worth, which isn't much, but if it gets you the player you really want (Chappy/BJ) in your side earlier it seems worth it.

Back on topic...

Whats the news from perth about
(a) Masten, Will he keep getting a game ahead of the many others. (and his foot, is it ok)?

(b) Palmer

(c)Ibbotson?

Fair call:

a) Hasnt been a lot of talk about Masten and if he will play the derby, in my opinion he wont but just wait for the team to come out.
b) Palmer was awesome on Saturday night and will play at least the next 5-6 games then shoulh have a rest.
c) Ibbo wasnt great on Sat night but will be a very good player, may not play the derby but should play some games later in the season.

yeah i realise i shouldve picked him. the trade with getting hall in, porpz is another one ill consider there. dependent on who's in better form really, but im leaning towards hall as he is more an out and out gun imo.

and yeah, 5 trades by week 5. my team is pretty screwed up at the moment, which is frustrating as i had the likes of porpz, hall, kelly and thornton in my team first up but didnt have the guts to stick with them  so ive gotta fix it up ASAP (im in the top 2500, so not that far behind)
not planning to use anything after that for a while though, barring injury.

A close friend is an asst coach at WCE, Masten has already been told he's out this week.
A bit sore, and not ready for the Derby.
He's not a great option for DT.
This is genuine, I gave the tip on Tues last week re his inclusion.
He wont give me much, but it's very handy with DT selections

yeah i have thought about that but it still wouldnt give me enough cash to get chappy or BJ or volt. i hope one fo them has just one stinker this weekend.

Its either that Hartlett to Brown then lucas to premium or Jamie macnamarra to bird then lucas to premium.
