First AFL game/update in 16 years without Sam Mitchell in it :( haha but yeah you've hit the nail on the head there. Wonder if they will still include Vickery and Griffiths in the update? Still listed but retired

Maybe one day they'll go down the same route as San Diego Studios (they make MLB The Show for PlayStation) and bring in "legends" of the game. Get Dunstall, Peter Knights, Sam Mitchell, etc, in your team.

Evolution was rebuilt from the ground up, so not polishing anything really. New game overall.

Live 1 is awesome, but i'll take Evolution over waiting for a decade or so for BA/TB/AFL to sort out some agreement on who knows what exactly.

Then why do it play exactly like Live 2 and it's Wii incarnation? The same IR Gurus PS2 style of gameplay.

They already have a shareable player creator with plenty of past player names included for commentary.
There's no need for them to spend money on those likenesses.

Finally WAFL!!!

I thought there was no chance of the other state leagues being added especially not in a dlc update

Wicked Witch going above and beyond which is great
Yeah its weird, because I imagined it would be really simple and they wouldn’t do it. I reckon the most work comes from remaking the jumpers, that took me forever to do when I started modding Evolution. I wonder if they’ll add a couple stadiums from each league. I don’t want to play Port Magpies vs Norwood at Williamstown or Port Melbourne.

I wonder if they’ll have SANFL rules in the game, that would be cool to see. And the new Women’s rules. And this is a little petty but it would be awesome to see elbow length sleeves/sleeved pulled up to the elbow. The jumpers are tighter than ever and when a few Port players wear long sleeves almost all of them are halfway between the wrist and elbow.

I don’t think adding new state leagues is necessarily difficult but it was more licensing that was always the issue

Given that there was a few vfl grounds for those teams I seriously hope they make some new grounds for the other state leagues

If they make freo oval they have a 2 for 1 with south freo and freos women’s team both playing there (and maybe east freo playing there in the future)

Any idea what stadiums they'll add with state leagues? I reckon
WAFL
- Fremantle Oval: Obvious one, plus it helps as Freo's AFLW home ground
- Lathlain Park: Idk just because
- Leederville Oval: also just because
I hope Steel Blue as well just for my Swannies but unlikely.
AND PLZ flipping ADD BLUNDSTONE ARENA NTH MELB HAVE THEIR OWN DAMN TASSIE GROUND!!!

Honestly think we will be lucky if there is at least one from each state league. probably Fremantle Oval for all WAFL games, and Coopers Stadium / Gliderol Stadium for SANFL. NEAFL will just be the home grounds for the QLD/NSW teams and maybe TIO Stadium. But who knows! Depends on the budget they have and how cooperative the leagues were

I reckon Career Mode might get an overhaul. Here’s what it needs.
1. Start at age 18 in the TAC Cup/WAFL/SANFL/NEAFL 18s OR alternatively start as a mature age player in a state league. I don’t want to start my AFL Career at age 10.
2. If you choose to play as an Under 18 I want to be able to play in the Under 18 Champs. We have the teams for it, and right now they serve no purpose other than to use the guernseys for custom SoO teams. You would play for whatever state/region your U18 club is in. Eg: Norwood to SA, Northern Knights to Vic Metro, Murray Bushrangers to Vic Country
3. Draft! This is crucial to being realistic. The draft is one of the unique things about the AFL. As far as I know, no pro sports in Australia have draft. I want some sort of mystery as to where I’ll play. Make my draft pick dynamic based on how I play in the Under 18 Champs.
4. Let me get dropped if I play poorly. How many players play every game the year they get drafted? Not many. If I’m an early pick then it makes sense to play every week, but if I’m playing for the Crows in the midfield while Rory Sloane gets “dropped” while the Crows are contending for a premiership then it’s going to feel a little weird.
5. Dynamic competition. I want to see players from my time in Under 18s as my rivals throughout my career. When I get dropped I want to see familiar faces from the seniors or from the Under 18s
6. Request a trade. If I’m withering away as a full forward for East Perth while Josh Kennedy is winning the Coleman at the Eagles I want to be able to move to a club where I could get more game time, where a club doesn’t have a genuine full forward.

I wish.

First up I’m sorry for posting so much in this thread but I’m just so excited for this season pack
For what it’s worth I have a good feeling about the second dot point in my post happening. The rest are more so just what I’m hoping for.
I’d also love to have a career mode where they make you play as an Under 18, not a mature age player, like how they have it in 2K with college so that you have to use a state league team, then a U18 Champs team. That would be a good way to utilise what's currently in game
Now for stadiums:
Yesterday I was at Princes Park for Carlton v Melbourne women’s and I couldn’t help but think how great it would be to have Princes Park in AFL Evolution. It’s the perfect ground to put into the game. They play JLT, AFLW, VFL and TAC Cup matches there, as well as some interleague rep matches sometimes. Plus, with the number of people who want Carlton back playing some games at PP (myself included), it would be fun to have Carlton playing some games there.
Now currently we have 4 VFL stadiums (Port Melbourne, Williamstown, Box Hill and Bendigo) but now with 3 more state leagues in the mix it will be interesting to see what they add. For the NEAFL, TIO Stadium is the home of the NT Thunder but it is already in the game, so they may want to add another one. Brisbane Women and Reserves play at South Pine Sports Complex which doesn't have a grandstand, so there's nothing to really add. So they may want to add Blacktown International Sportspark, which is the home ground of GWS Women and Reserves, as well as the Giants former partial home ground.
Then for the SANFL it looks like Coopers Stadium in Norwood will be the preferred stadium, as it's Norwood's home ground and the Crows women's home ground. Otherwise, Alberton Oval was used for the JLT showdown and is the Port Magpies' home ground. AAMI Stadium would also be a nice touch as a farewell to the ground that will be demolished. WW has modelled the ground for Live 2 so there's always a chance, no matter how minuscule it may be.
For the WAFL, there are 3 potential stadiums. Leederville Oval is the home of East Perth and Subiaco, and it hosted a JLT game between West Coast and Port Adelaide. Arena Joondalup hosted the JLT Derby and is home to West Perth. And finally Fremantle Oval is the home of Freo Women's and South Freo, and formerly East Freo. But whether it's all or none of these, I'm just so hyped for the Season Pack.
