Only played a little bit so far. What's annoying is if you sort the list of current players you want to edit by rating and then click on one of the players to edit their attributes, it chooses the wrong player.

Eg. Ben Stratton is on top of the Hawks list by default. If I sort the list by player rating and then go to edit Rioli, it will edit Ben Stratton by default. A minor glitch but it fathoms me how they didn't notice it.

Yes! so annoying.

At least you can get around it though unlike other small irritating things.

The only thing that pisses me off about this game is the marking and the chain of 10 meter, unstoppable kicks that end up in marks for the opponent. It is seriously broken. I try to jostle, but it never works. I'm on what I think is a decent lead and for some stupid reason the ball passes me and ends in my opponent's hands.

Once the marking is fixed, that'll be the major complaint gone for me.

Don't get me started on the trading. I put the management up to Hard and was still able to trade pick 11 and Nick Suban for Bontempelli. Oh and by the way, don't bother trading for Mitch McGovern. Instead of making him 22, they've made the poor bugger 32 and he retires almost immediately at the end of the second season!

Paid $100 to get it on the Aussie psn (live in Japan)
Just played my first game as the Bullies and smashed Coburg 0.5 to 0.4 lol
Running into an open goal and hit square to kick a goal (I'm sure thats what it was on AFL Live that I played a ton).

What's with the advantage rule?? I get a free kick. One of my players I'm not controlling goes and gets the ball and it's automatically advantage and I'm tackled holding the ball.
Yeah I'm pretty sure AFL Live was square to kick goals and circle to handball, I handpassed into an open goal a couple of times in my first few games.

Haven't played yet but from gameplay i've seen it looks pretty decent. My mate has it and says it's quite good. Marking started off hard but eventually got easier. I'm looking forward to getting this game. Be a Pro sounds like a blast except for the early interchanges. It'll never be perfect like FIFA or NBA but I'm happy we have a good AFL game. One thing irking me is Fremantle and West Coast both have their old themes. Hopefully a patch gives us the real ones.

But some fans wear the old guernseys still........adds realism. I'll show myself out.
The day one patch fixes the theme songs for freo and west coast

I played one game pre patch and was annoyed but that crappy freo song then updated overnight, launched a game today and was pleasantly surprised to hear the actual songs

2. I haven't worked out why (it seems to be based on in game performance, but have also seen this amongst players who weren't in the squad), but players accumulate experience points after each game which you can then spend to increase their stats to your liking. Got BOG with Nic Nat in my first JLT game and got him to 99 speed and acceleration straight away, which all but broke the game until I upped the difficulty. Seems to be a decent enough effort into development. Players' overall rating is fixed based on their attributes, but you edit the attributes. Can also have EXP allocated automatically e.g all defenders automatically spend points on defensive attributes, or attacking attributes, or physical attributes, or do tackle bag training etc etc.
Yeah, it's way too easy to upgrade stats in career mode. They really need to nerf it.

Personally, I'd rather they use the FIFA 17 model of training.

It's sad to realise that WW still have more AFL games to make, and after that another company will have to come in and start from scratch because WW's base is broken, leaving the next potentially decent AFL game at about 2025.

Biggest loss: 54 points

Biggest win: 98 points

Took 8 games to get the hang of it, playing on Medium, I think a bump in difficulty is in order. It's entirely possible to have 7 goals scored in a 2.5 minute quarter. Finding it relatively easy to break through lines and score, only errant kicks stuff me up sometimes which then leads to the cpu ai being able to go from my forward line to theirs and either score or shank the kick in hilarious fashion.

Things I've witnessed:

Nick Riewoldt in the goal square being smothered (I was the smother-er).

Emulating the Sydney Swans failed kick in where Luke Hodge marked and kicked a goal (2014 grand final) - only it was Luke Bruest who marked and goaled in the game.

Burgoyne going the torp from the centre square and scoring a goal :D
Cyril trying to be a hero from 50 and kicking it out on the full (have witnessed this 3 times haha).

Online multiplayer or in person multiplayer is where the game will shine, when both people know how to play and not get caught in giving away silly free kicks.

My be a pro player must think he's playing rugby. I've been pinged for throwing the ball that many times

Not that much of a shock given the BAP looks to be ripped from their rugby game

So much wrong with this.

random glitches, random ability by players to teleport 10 meters to dive for a mark, torpedos OP, rushed gameplay, extremely rare for any fluidity, kicks galore because handballs are useless, lack of/or accurate free kicks and many more

I've found a semi solution to the marking problem. Basically just switch player and let AI take the mark, seems to work most of the time.

But in saying all that. It's fun

I rekn as bad as the gameplay is , there r some decent foundations there , really like the dynamic camera angle , the game looks really neat .

Whoever keeps saying to put youself back on the field after being benched... you can't. We are talking about Be a Pro career mode. You can't change team line up or even team tactics.

Have noticed a shite tonne more bugs that I'll be posting later. Nothing completely game breaking but certainly annoying and some very obvious stuff that really should have been picked up in testing.

Could go on all day about what is bad about it, but the most annoying bit by far is when you get a free and then if it spills to you it's always advantage and then you get done for holding the ball, doesn't matter if you're half being tackled by 8 blokes, it's advantage and you get done, also a serious flaw with marking (obviously right?) where the better player almost always gets the mark, was playing saints v hawks and longer v mcevoy in a marking contest was interrupted with Hodge coming from the clouds running back with the flight and basically snatching it out of my hands.

Special mention to the soundtrack, I actually preferred the AFL Live soundtrack, and that was the worst thing I'd ever endured at the time, until now.

Needless to say I don't have the game anymore.
