I must admit that, despite my earlier comments, mastering marking makes the game so much more enjoying. Holding the triangle button and releasing it just before the circle turns solid white works...as per the manual. Having much more success in marking long kicks than the AI short ones, but when I don't have the ball I have started to expect a short kick and I am hitting the triangle button early - and it works.....loving the game!
And for all you people who have taken the game back early because you can't work out marking....blame yourself not the game! Patience and persistence people!

What camera settings do you guys use in Be-A-Pro? I can't find any I'm comfortable with, I wish the Be-A-Pro camera had a Very Far zoom out option

Playing online and I was up 7 goals to zero and I'm not sure if he quit or what but the game just went a bit crazy where I couldn't pick up the ball and everyone just stood there. Eventually the game kicked me back to the he title screen. Checked the online leaderboard and the game gave me the loss? Wtf.

If they can't sort that out I won't be giving this game much longer.

This happened to me but then when I looked after the next game the result of the previous game had been reversed and it had given me the win and remove the loss.

Just played a cliffhanger in be a pro. Kick a goal to draw us level 8 minutes left. Benched for the rest of the game..... fuuuuuuuuuuu this!!

Still struggling to get used to the marking. It's really making the game unenjoyable. I keep playing exhibition matches so I can get better at the game which kinda sucks because I want to start a career mode.

There's really only three things to marking:

• Timing - either tap or hold then release the mark button (triangle or Y) just before the two white circles overlap. Only works if you're close enough to the contest
• Positioning - use the left stick to move your selected player inside the ball's landing zone
• Jostling - if you're in a one-on-one, it helps to flick the right stick in the direction of your opponent before the ball arrives to push them out of position

Spoiling is a lot more forgiving with the timing, so I tend to go for those on the opponents' stab passes to try to bring the ball to ground.

Practice makes perfect All of these need to be done simultaneously so it takes a while to get the hang of.

Not sure if its patchable, but tackling animations can cover too much ground. You can have 2 metres of space, and when the chaser's tackle animation triggers that all gets swallowed up.

Not as bad as AFL Live 1, but it can impede game flow.

Im not sure about career games, but Ive given each of the CPU teams a kick in strategy that isn't man on man. Options do open up.

Is anyone able to play as a Forward in Be-A-Pro above Easy difficulty? I'm in the VFL and the opposition teams have the ball up their end kicking behinds for the entire game. If I want the ball I have to push up field and then try to kick it to the AI who won't mark it

This game is so shit.

The opponents miss goals from the goal square over and over... I won a game 5.4.34 to 1.14.20 or some shit like that.

****ing hate the marking so much... the game actually reminds of AFL 97 in that respect.

Still playing it heaps, but I hate it.

Is the marking just flat out broken or do you think you'll be able to improve with more you play it? Is there a tutorial?

It's not broken it's just a challenge, I'm getting fairly good at it.

Yep, if you want it in a couple of months, the bargain bins will be full of them. You'll be able to pick up one plastered with EB Games stickers.

EASY FIX for the advantage rule:
- After you get a free kick and a player picks up the ball, you have 2 seconds to click a button to trigger advantage. If you don't click it ... no advantage.
