Really excited for this game after seeing this trailer, especially the replay of Daw's mark when it shows the crowd in the background. Looks extremely real.
However I don't think you can use the "better than nothing" argument when the game costs $100. You have to allow criticism

It's the Facebook morons that annoy me, you've got people there saying it looks like a game from 2004 and I'm like think back to the AFL games we had back in the ps2 days and Evolution was the kind of game we hoped we'd see one day

In their defence, facebook morons see being a facebook moron as their God given right.
If Evolution can hold my interest as long as DBC 14 did, where I were still playing it and being challenged by it 1-2 years later, and I get decent career options out of it, I'm sold.

While I agree with you I think if people are being honest they'd admit that this really isn't too far off those AAA titles (particularly FIFA)

As much as I love NBA 2k I find there's so much unnecessary shit in that game and it seems in AFL Evolution we've got a game that does everything a sports game needs really well and graphically is near on par with FIFA (which I've always thought didn't look that great compared to 2k or the show)
