AFL Evolution "Umpires Pets DLC"
(Wicked Witch Software, Tru Blu Entertainment)
AFL Evolution is already the most advanced Australian Rules Football game ever created to date, however we at Wicked Witch asked ourselves "How can we make the game even more realistic and true to real life?"
Introducing the Umpires Pets DLC!
For a one time purchase, this DLC allows you to unlock an option called "19th man" in the options menu of AFL Evolution.
- The "19th man" option causes an umpire to award your team a free kick whenever your opposition has the ball. *Selected teams only
With "19th man" activated, head into a game playing as either Sydney, Geelong, West Coast, Hawthorn, GWS, or the Western Bulldogs and watch in awe as your players get the rub of the green all match long!
Also included with the DLC is a new post season mode cutscene.
Should you happen to win the elusive premiership with either Sydney or the Western Bulldogs in career mode, a special cutscene will appear at the end of the AFL grand final.
- For a Sydney Premiership in career mode, Lance "Buddy" Franklin will take you on a tour through his luxury Sydney beachside home and a quicktime event will appear where you must mash the triangle/Y button on your controller to snort as many lines of cocaine as you can before ASADA busts you. Careful! Pressing the button too many times will cause you to fail a drug test and your player will be suspended from playing for the next season. However, when caught, you have the option to select from a list of Mental Health illnesses to claim you're going through to avoid scrutiny from the media. This overrules your suspension and causes a +positive reaction with the media in game, however you will remain under constant scrutiny for the rest of your career and therefore you will get a -negative reaction with the fans.
Selecting this cutscene unlocks the achievement "I'm Buddy Rich!" on Playstation Network and Xbox Live.
- For a Western Bulldogs Premiership in career mode, Tom "Libba" Liberatore will drag you down to the local pub and a quicktime event will appear where you must mash the triangle/Y button on your controller to down as many pints as you can and get as shitfaced as possible. Careful! Pressing the button too many times will cause you to "Black Out" and Caroline Wilson will publish an article about your drinking habits in The Age during the pre season. Your reputation with the media will be -decreased in game however you gain a +positive reaction from the fans and everyone will think you're a sick c*nt.
Selecting this cutscene unlocks the achievement "Ashes test hero!" on Playstation Network and Xbox Live.

Striking of an umpire!
Might as well chuck Adelaide in there too, they strike me as an umpire biased team.
Well, the name and marketing is up to the publisher Tru Blu which was the same for both games. Probably not an active Wicked Witch decision. Also remember that the Wii version of AFL Live 1 was made by WW.
Also, having said all this, it is bizarre that AFL Live was chosen as a name in the first place, as it was the same name given to the 2003, 2004, 2004 Premiership Edition, 2005, 2006 and 2007 games which were all developed and published by different companies.
Many people I spoke to were hesitant to buy AFL Live "1" because they though it was made by the same crappy developers as the past ones.
08? Nah, I've never thought about it.... Lol...it still hurts, doesn't it?
I don't know if this has been brought up or not but the club songs seem to be fixed on the FanHub.
It'd be awesome if these injuries and suspensions were legitamateCouldn't find anything about crunching tackles or anything like that but did find some details on hip and shoulder and possible injuries:
HIP & SHOULDER
Push [RIGHT_STICK] towards an opponent to hip and shoulder. You can hip and shoulder players with or without the ball. Be careful not to give away a free kick by hip and shouldering players who are not near the ball.
If you don^t have enough stamina` you won^t have the strength to attempt this action. This will fatigue your player` so use it sparingly!

If a player does his ACL I want to be able to go to the replay and see him hyperextend the knee
Well clearly he's a sadist. Duh.Why though
I mean in the sense that I don't want players injuring their knees when they've been hit in the head, almost like the game just makes it up at randomWhy though
steady on Joffrey! It'd be awesome if these injuries and suspensions were legitamate
If a player does his ACL I want to be able to go to the replay and see him hyperextend the knee or if a player gives away a high tackle free then I want to see that high tackle (the trailer gives hope for this)
I've listened to them too, can confirm to those wondering the crowd sounds do sound real and IMO they're good. It's just a matter of if WW can play them at appropriate times during the game...
Ah yes, the Alan Didak mode. Also I like suffered the non-football related injury one.
I hope there is a drink driving mini game where you need to get home without without getting caught while the under age girl you picked up is throwing cocaine out of the car.
I forget where I heard this, I know it was either from Big Ant or Tru Blu, but they said they picked Live as the title because the game would always be active to play online.
Any new info on a steam release date?
