I agree. I know Target had DBC 17 but I thought I saw someone post that it might have just been EB Games, JB, and the Gamesmen for AFL Evolution.

I dare say it will only ever be used occasionally after simming a match. Pretty sure it's been used like that before.

Football Manager (well, probably CM back then) had legal issues with putting in realistic situations that may be detrimental to players' reputations, such as failing drug tests, referee abuse, incidents on the playing field resulting in lengthy bans, etc.

They used to have a mode in which you could turn all that on but it's long gone now.

Am I right in saying, that if this game is heavily backed and has a decent supporter base, that the devs will hopefully release DLC and patches to fix minor issues as well as release new features ?

That should be done anyway regardless of whether the game is heavily backed or not.

I remember when AFL Live 1 was being developed that Big Ant said that it was not tollerated at all. They had umpire strikes in Live 2 as well. You don't see it or play as it, you just get an email after a game saying a player has been reported. I had Ben Mcevoy get offered 5 weeks for it after a match, i challenged it and he got 7 weeks instead haha

I was about to complain how with no extra info (like whether the charge was valid), AFL 2's MRP challenge system was ridiculous because it was legitimately just a guess as to whether they'd get off or not. Then I realised that's the one thing they truly nailed the realism in.

But seriously, when someone gets charged it would be good to have some indicators like "Player guilt level", "Club challenge confidence" or something. Just a few things to help you decide whether you should challenge or not, like in DBC17 how after a wicket you get the indicators for how confident the players are for whether you should review or not.

Coming in the next couple of days - a couple people here messaged the Giants facebook account.

Probably needs to be AFL approved about a dozen times before its posted, making sure the lighting, camera angles etc. look 100% perfect

Hardly anyone releases demos any more. Especially low budget games. If I remember correctly, more often than not a demo hurts sales anyway because it satisfies the initial curiosity and so many people decide not to purchase after playing a bit.

Hopefully no major issues at launch.

Someone mentioned DLC earlier, what DLC can this game potentially have? FIFA had Euro Championships as a DLC for FIFA14 but don't think there's that many for sport games.
 
Does pre-ordering at JB guarantee that you will get the game on release day? I.e. can I pre-order and then pickup from a store that day?
