No. Not at all.

So long as you disregard two grand finals and sharing the same ground for 15 years.
Yes there is. Good rivalry with them in the 70s and 80s, not so much in terms of hatred but respect for onfield exploits. Sticks Kernahan has said this many times. Enjoyed playing against us because it brought the best out of his team.

That’s pretty much the point moginie was making

I agree. I didn't agree with the post I had previously quoted.

It’s a terrific rivalry - and as I said last year leading up to the Carlton game it should be played up by the AFL given the history and crowds between the clubs.

But Carlton really doesn’t make much sense from a centenary point of view. You would think the first team we played (Richmond), our greatest rival (Essendon) or our current rival (Geelong) would make a lot more sense

Despite the three Bombers GFs, I always felt Carlton was our biggest rival in the 80s. It makes enough sense,

I mean of course we are going to play them. Just heard no games in QLD. Lions and Hawks both requested a game against each other at the Gabba but it was ignored. Guess we find out for sure tomorrow.
I missed “twice” in my post.

We wait.

If I have this correct and the 'leaks' in here are all accurate, it sounds like we're looking at this across OR-R15:

4 x Fridays (inc. R1)
3 x Thursdays (inc. OR)
1 x Monday (Easter)
1 x Sunday night (GR)
1 x Saturday night
1 x Sunday
2 x Byes

With 3 x TBA

Let us hear no excuses. If we’re good enough, we’re good enough to challenge this year.

Enjoy the Hawks playing prime time. May the boys play at their best, remain disciplined on the field, maintain optimum health & fitness & be blessed with a little luck along the way.

For those (especially families) who can’t make the night games, hopefully you can record the games to watch in the morning / on the weekend.

A Church of Hawthorn prayer:-
May Hokball be bestowed the virtues of premiership silverware in 2025!
