I don’t care what anyone says, we’re getting a very good fixture.

Challenging sure, but it’s good to be back on broadway.

Yes, I did LOL at the “AFL are cheats, making us play an away game that I don’t like” post.

Honestly one of the best tantrums I have seen on here from a grown ass adult. Mate of mine who is a conspiracy-driven Lions supporter who is the typical Queenslander who thinks the whole world is against them - our sports group chat is littered with similar diatribes on a regular basis. Silver lining is he is very easy to rile up. He had a meltdown when I once said that the big Victorian clubs and West Coast were the only reason his club existed and that he should be more grateful to his daddies - never seen someone 40+ lose it so quickly.

We finished bottom 4 in 2023 and in 2024 were scheduled to play the Premiers twice. Preliminary finalist twice. Geelong twice including at Geelong. Adelaide twice who were tipped to be big risers. Richmond twice who were thought to have only slumped due to injuries. Last years draw this time last year was very tough. We have no idea who will rise and fall in 2025 so will take some time to determine how hard the draw is.

What to look out for is how many short breaks we have v oppo on longer breaks. Like coming back from WA on a six day break to play Geelong at Geelong, who had a longer break than us. Or Easter Monday into Sunday night in SA into Saturday on the Gold Coast.

Whilst almost everyone else is playing this ‘extra 12th home/away game” at a neutral ground, irrespective of whether they are named as the home team or not, we are playing an extra genuine AWAY match interstate. 7.20pm on a Sunday evening, yeah not as many will trek across from VIC.

When we also get Brisbane away this year, you might better understand it.

Nice to have many prime time games, but Brisbane away in the last H/A round if true, is the 12th away game for the year.

He must be posting in the McClelland Trophy thread on the main board. Full of Brisbane supporters whinging that the criteria should be changed to give them the prize money.

Round 14 v Crows Friday night in Launceston in the dead of winter?

AFL hoping for a freezing cold night in the middle of June to drive home the point of getting the Tassie team's stadium to have a roof? Just a thought.

Early in the season obvious choice to have a night game in Tassie. June? not so much.
Can't be any worse than Canberra at night or in the snow :)

My immediate thought was we could be playing in both of the games that have had snow falling throughout.
