AFL Live 2

What the actual ****?

BAS were doing an incredible job, and had a game that barely needed any additions to be brilliant. Now we are getting some half baked piece of shit because Tru Blu had no faith?

Does this mean BAS will never release another AFL game?
 
Can't help but think this time next year there'll be a thread talking about how people have gone back to playing the original AFL Live. Funny to think when it got so much hate upon release. 'Too many ball ups!'; 'What no career mode!'; 'Online is rooted!'. Preaching to the converted perhaps but we're going to find out the hard way how good it was.

What's that? Give the new game a chance? Yeah right. I'll buy it and happily so to support the concept of ongoing titles, but the only thing that could give me any confidence whatsoever was if they were building on top of the BA engine.

I don't think it got that much hate, there were some insatiable people who expected it to rival FIFA and Madden straight up, but the majority of us knew what we were getting and were satisfied with what it ended up being and what it represented in terms of a foundation.

Personally it's still the game that spends the longest in my PS3. Lately i'm on a GT5 binge but i'd say AFL is still the game i play a good 50% of the time overall.
 
Today spent 4 hours starting to create this years list. Suprisingly close to completion. Need to create another 50 or so players and then change some of the overalls of the players whose form have changed from last year to this year. Any ideas who needs changing??
 
Pumped to hear Wicked Witch are taking the helm. Loved the Ipad and Wii games can't wait to see what they do with the more powerful platforms.:D

Dayne Beams, most of the North Melb list. When I did this I watered down some stats of some players that were too unrealistic, e.g. Dustin Fletcher down to about 80, Spud Firrito down to around 75.

Just thought I'd beat a different drum to see what reactions came.

Never played the Wii game TBH but thought the Ipad game was about as good as you could expect for that platform although extremely over priced for something that wasn't a master peice.

You'll be able to play AFL Live for as long as PSN / XBLA are available.
 
For some reason when I go online the game can sit on the finding match screen for 30 mins without finding someone.
I have not played online for a month because of this.
 
It would be because there are not many people searching for games.... a lot of people just play friends and invite matches.

That's because there'd be no one available to play against.

:rolleyes: Grow up.

AFL Live was a great foundation to build upon. Sure, it had it's flaws, but it was a solid release. After seeing the marked improvement of quality from RLL1 to RLL2, all signs were pointing to an excellent successor. It's just disappointing to see that this won't come to fruition (with the current game engine).

At this stage (only a few months before release), we don't even know 100% who is developing the game, with the frontrunner being Wicked Witch who have never developed for current gen before. People have every right to be disenchanted with the current situation.
