So they added banners and goal celebration animations.

I played the game last year, and I thought it was an absolute abomination in terms of gameplay. If they've taken the time to include irrelevant crap like that, I really hope they've got the actual game functioning perfectly. Maybe the devs should think harder about how to make the gameplay work, not how many bells and whistles they can tack onto a crappy product to try and make it seem more appealing.

Looking forward to getting this tommorow, but i can't connect to xboxlive for some reason.

Does anyone know a way I can get an update through computer, google wasn't much help.
Would also love to know this, thought I might have heard can download through computer than transfer it with a USB or something?

I've also heard that's possible, but I haven't been able to find a tutorial which demonstrates how that can be done.

I mainly hope they stopped that stupid glitch where 10 players are running behind the ball carrier.

Nah good question heaps of people getting these confused. Patches fix little bugs and twinges that already exist in the game (Say a player kicks backwards instead of forwards this is fixed in the patch so the player now kicks forward) . DLCs are new content such as new jumpers, upgraded lists etc. You have to pay for DLCs as they are newly made and normally takes a long period of time to create so of course developers want profit for their effort.

The developers put the details of the update and dlc together I also find this confusing. Question if you've already downloaded the patch; can you remap buttons to afl live 1 controls?

Edit: Yeah what Les said :)

I'm only guessing but assume the patch is bug fixes etc like most patches are and what most games get. Will be surprised if there's anything significantly new in there

The DLC will be the 2014 upgrade and the new cut scenes/ celebrations etc. Expecting it to have a price attached to it so it'll be good to hear from anyone on what the xbox one costs.

I suppose any updates to game dymanics etc could be in either, I've downloaded it but never played it enough to say whats different and still looking for a 1.02 patch document/info.
