This happens when you face towards the pocket and inadvertently hit the "aftertouch" - we saw it at Chadstone and had the same reaction then watched people do it and figured it out.

We have also worked out that people pull back on the stick to control the player they are kicking too before it leaves the boot, and also so as to not step outside the goal square (which you don't have to worry about as we automatically box you in unless you kick it at full strength and are standing at the top or sides of the goal square).

To Ross or anybody who has played the game yet (I have but I never saw this): When a player is in his attacking 50 say he is running towards the boundary to get the ball, if he picks it up and the player holds the kick button will it sort of auto-aim for the goals or just head straight out of bounds?

Why have a play test on the 13th if people will be able to check it out the very next day, seems strange to me, we may still get it on the 14th as Ross has said that once its approved it will be released but i think the 21st is looking more likely.

The Vics and the All Stars lineups were provided by the afl (Kevin Sheehan created the list) and the Indigenous All Stars came from a squad again provided by the AFL.

im sorry, but HOW COULD YOU NOT PUT JONNO BROWN IN THE VICS SIDE!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SOOOOO DUMB. he was the captain of the side in the exhibition match!!!!!!! so far i have been really disappointed by the teams i have seen. the brisabne one was completely wrong, the GC was all over the place and i saw a carlton one on a video and the team lineups were all messed up too. surely common sense must come into play when making some of these teams!!!!! *face palm* but browny!!!! hes like on of the best players in the league!!!!! i just cannot believe how dumb that is to not put him in!

The crazy kid does have a point though. Unless injury is keeping him out, he should probably be in there.

In regards to all teams, I'm assuming that the game just puts the next 'similar position' type when subbing for an injured player. In real life it may require players to play in unfamiliar positions, but the game just swaps a def for a def and so on.

ah, no he doesn't actually, especially not shouting, stamping feet etc... we didn't pick the team - he or she should ring Sheehan I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss it with you.

Interesting to note Brisbane's percentage is quite high for a team only winning 7 games. Must have lost quite a few by small margins, suggesting they won't be too far off the mark in the game.

There is a separate "kick at goal" button which automatically locks on. If you are near the boundary it will likely do a snap of sorts. I also find the kick at goal button sometimes helpful around the ground if you just want to bang it forward at all costs.

You do realise that there is a full team and player editor so instead of whinging you can make all of these changes yourself?

Also, I just found on my phone a picture of the Essendon team lineup. I'll save it though as we have Ross' countdown going. I'm sure Essendon will appear soon enough ;-)

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster

I was lucky enough to get down to JB Knox last night and spend about an hour and a half with this game and was quite impressed.

Controls were easy enough to pick up, and after a couple of games started to really get the hang of the basics.

Played a few games with melbournemartin and by the end we were able to string a few half decent plays together (and a whole lot of horrible ones haha). Pulling off a sweet tap to a teamate in a ruck contest is a great feeling. Really excited to play this co op with mates once we've all mastered the controls.

Overall i was really impressed with the game. Menus look slick, animations flow and the game is nice and fast. Was left wanting to play more even after the hour and a half I had.

Thanks again to Big Ant for all these playtests, I think you've got a winner on your hands here guys

Has anything been said by you dudes who saw it in store (I know most of the time the sound was off) about the main song? Is it the song in the trailer? Or are there a few songs that play while you're ****ing around with the settings (a la FIFA)
