AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Players have been rated in every single position, so their attributes will be lowered if playing out of position.Thanks. The other things is do players lose stats/skill/whatever it's called if played out of position? (eg. a Full Forward in the Centre). I think I may have read this in the FAQ but I quickly went over it again and couldn't find it.
Generally if you price match then you won't be able to get the pre-order bonus...however if you're saving $30 just buy the photo online yourself anyway.I've never pre-ordered a game before so how does it work? Also if I want to price match what do I do, will I still get the pre-order bonus?

This is done in game by actually showing the rating of the player you're going to change to that specific position rather than showing their natural overall and then adjusting when you put him in that position.Generally if you price match then you won't be able to get the pre-order bonus...however if you're saving $30 just buy the photo online yourself anyway.
Ross,
something is telling me that it is very possible that the game could hit stores this thursday? in a previous thread i think you mentioned that if a game is pressed, it is usually released on the thursday after? if this is true and you say the duplicates have been done, then the game should come out before the 21st? Good marketing dropping it in a week earlier, as the amount of parents caving in to thier kids crys for AFL LIVE!!!! For the parents will realise that $100 can remove the whines of I'M BORED! during the school holidays.
Ross, is there any chance of a segment about AFL live on TV. Such as halftime during a game. Or on a AFL show like Before the Game, The Footy Show.
Do their attributes actually go down, or does their overall just go down to reflect how they are rated in that position, like FIFA?
For example, Berbatov in FIFA is in the 80s, but if you put him in centre back his finishing doesn't go down, but his overall would go down a lot because he doesn't have the agression or tackling ability to be a good centre back.
Make sense?
Yes, this is how we have done it as well.

So the stats don't actually go down?
eg.
I have a player who is 80 overall in Centre but if I move him to FF he could be a 70 at FF with the same stats because he lacks the skills of a usual FF? Hope that makes sense.
I know I'm probably repeating what you asked but I'm just making sure I understand
It's not all that difficult really.
Players that are good at defending (good marking, strength etc. stats) aren't as good in the midfield (speed, endurance, handballing etc. stats).
Do the stats actually decrease or just their overall rating for the position?
just their overall for that position goes down their stats stay the same

I'm trying to figure out how it works aswell. and the only idea i have come up with is that they have individual stats like kicking at goal and such. so someone like sam mitchell who would obviously have awesome stats for a midfielder would not be matched for a position like FF because the marking and goal kicking stats would not be as good as a player like buddy franklin.

Id say their effectiveness, awareness and some other stats drop if they are playing out of position.
Can you tell us what specifically changes Ross?
just wondering if there is any new footage from the latest play tests
cheers
Obviously a joke...
