That's Andy Symons (no relation - I'm sure he wants me to make that clear :) ) - It is limited to one season, including NAB cup and custom cups. There is a trophy room that records your medals and honour boards record your premierships.

That's kind of disappointing but I guess that's one of the things that can (hopefully) be added in a sequeal of the game. Until than it looks like I'll just have to start a new season with the same team to make it seem like I'm continuing onto the next year. :p

Thanks for the reply. :thumbsu:

Edit: Another quick question. On previous games when lining up for goal I don't remember being able to walk in towards the goal with a man on the mark, can you do it in this version? Hope that makes sense as I don't know the correct terminology for that situation.

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not if it has sorry in advance.

Q. When you have kicked a goal does the player celebrate and if so how many celebration animations are there?

Cheers,
Myki

There are celebrations after goals are kicked but I'm not sure exactly how many there are...from memory I saw about 2 different ones.

Ross,

On your opinion what is the most important part of AFL LIVE that needs improving? Also I noticed in the team lineups you have been posting in the background of skilled stadium its suburbs, and in the background of the Aurora stadium one its hills and suburban like. Did you guys make that from scratch or did you have it already! just adds realism to the whole game, I know when your playing you don't see the outside of the ground and really who cares? but still great effort!

Portpower

We built all of the game from scratch.

There is the obvious that will be put into the game, franchise mode, etc.. the thing I would like to see most is greater teamwork from the AI where they would do things like bump and shepherd for each other when there is a third man into the contest.

Just out of curiosity when a game is made a selling point of a bundle like that do the developers/publishers get anything out of the sale of it?

It's quite complicated, marketing spend, etc.. all play a part, simply put it's part of a bigger picture deal.

I can say that generally speaking there are very few games ever made into console bundles, we are really proud that Sony have thought enough of the game after seeing it at Beta that they pushed to do it.

Just a couple of questions about the gameplay:

1. For those who have played the game, how is the sub in the game like and how is the interchange.

2. Is it easy to hit up targets when kicking

3. Is it easy for a midfielder to run around a full forward than it would be for a ruckmen.

4. Last question, Do you have to direct where you want the ball to go in a ruck contest.

Could someone going to the Highpoint Demo day thing on 11/4/2011 get some good video footage and pictures of the game? Cant wait till the 21st!

I'll probably get bagged for this but the store I pre-order at has to be the store I pick it up from right. See I don't live in Melbourne and the closest JB/EB is in Ballarat 40 mins away. I'll be in Melbourne at the time so I'm just trying to work out where to pre-order...
You can pre-order the game online on EB Games website and pick the store that you want to pick it up from.:thumbsu:

The player does walk in yes, but it's automatic.

1. We've really not ever needed to use the interchange in game as it's always on automatic. Couple that with the fact that all anyone wants to do is just play a match and you really don't have time to interchange

2. It's fairly easy. You can either use your own natural sense to pick and choose a target or use the lock on system by holding down L2 and cycling through players.

3. It's definitely easier. The ruckman do lumber around and the mids are very quick and pacy.

4. Yes you do, you use the right stick to run up and contest the ruck and you have full 360 degree control over the ruck hitout.

Thanks. The other things is do players lose stats/skill/whatever it's called if played out of position? (eg. a Full Forward in the Centre). I think I may have read this in the FAQ but I quickly went over it again and couldn't find it.

Ross,
something is telling me that it is very possible that the game could hit stores this thursday? in a previous thread i think you mentioned that if a game is pressed, it is usually released on the thursday after? if this is true and you say the duplicates have been done, then the game should come out before the 21st? Good marketing dropping it in a week earlier, as the amount of parents caving in to thier kids crys for AFL LIVE!!!! For the parents will realise that $100 can remove the whines of I'M BORED! during the school holidays.

Gonna pop into JB Hifi Doncaster this Wednesday, hopefully no one else will be there so I can play for a fair while.

Yep, they should release it sometime this week! Sales would definitely be high with school holidays.

(Just an excuse to get it earlier ;))

could we get a screenshot of a non-victorian player? I know its a week and a half until we get the game, but wouldn't mind seeing a screenshot of Pavlich, LeCras, or Brett Ebert?
