Oh have a winge! The game was already complete at the playtests, and if u have played the game it gives you all the stats at end of qtr and full time, too be complaining so much you obviously have the game already, where in vic is even selling it?

Mate it is hugely dissapointing not to have ideal and realistic quarter lengths. And with the stats you can't check the teams individual statistics. It just shows kicking efficiency, how many kicks you get, marks etc of the team. Also the fact that kicking in counts as a stat really grinds my gears.

Some very simple yet crucial errors have been made in my OPINION. It seems BIg Ant have had 3 years to create a good AFL game and have missed key parts.:confused:

i really do wonder, conceptually how do you make a quarter length which is accurate in both disposals and score of a full 'real time' afl quarter.

seems you can only have one or the other..

quite the challenge..

Fair call on the stats, it's hardly a deal breaker thou! Looks all pretty nice to me,for a first effort it's got to be a huge achievement by the team at big ant to have it looking how it does.
 
Strange that there isn't a quarter length that has realistic scores, I remember Ross saying a while back there's 2,3,5,7,10,15 and 20 minute quarters, maybe not exactly that but there were alot of different options.
 
To anybody with the game, first of all congrats. Only think I wanna know is can you edit player's jumper numbers to account for players signed or created onto a team?

I had an idea about the stats/time problem, if they scored the players using a champion data type system but points are worth more of less depending on the quarter length so that you get more consistent scores across the quarter lengths.

When a player joins a team they take the lowest available number.

IIRC you can't manually change the numbers, but I could be mistaken.
 
Street date has been broken by some stores, mostly WA and SA I believe. None so far here in Victoria. Don't know how to collect your pre order bonus, sorry mate.

These idiots here can post smiley faces and stupid jokes, yet they can't actually help someone who asks - who cares if he doesn't have the time to read every single post...

Ahh ok cool, well looks like McCarthy, Goldsack and Rounds are gettin dropped that frees up numbers 3, 6, 9 (already not used) and 14. AND about $500,000 in value for a big signing!

You Sir are a clown. If you play either quarter length you get unrealistic scores. Either too high scoring or too low scoring. Also player stats are unrealistic. So placing the quarter length in the middle of the 2 would be the most suitable answer.
 
Read that people here in WA were getting the game and got really excited only to be let down that EB don't have stock and it seems my local targets and kmarts have either sold out or don't have stock. Oh well according to the EB manager I will have my copy on Monday.

I was thinking the same, intending to drop Raph Clarke, Dawson, Peake etc. But when a team is edited, it is duplicated so that the original remains unchanged and the duplicated version is counted as a custom team. The problem with that, is if you wanted to take it online you would have to downgrade the quality of your team due to a $7 M salaray cap for Customs and $10 M for legitimate teams.

This could mean you could drop Swan, Pendlebury and maybe more, but not be allowed to take that team online as it exceeds the custom team salaray cap, despite it being a worse team than the default Collingwood side...
 
I just remembered I got a call from an unknown number at 2:45 today, could it have been from EB? Doubt it but you never know

Hey Ross, what's going on behind the scenes in regard to the release date being broken. I've heard that the date has been pushed forward to Tuesday from a few places and conflicting reports from others. All hands on deck at Big Ant/Tru Blu?

Could you please answer these 2 questions properly and not avoid them like you usually do when your put under pressure.

1. Why does kicking in count as a stat? Silly mistake????
2. Why can we not see individual player stats at the end of the game?

but what if 7 mins is still too short, should they add in 8, but if thats too much do they add in 7.30. But if thats not enough should they add in 7.24:51?

What is training like is it like fifa where you are in the arena and just muck around have shots for goal and practice your skills.

IIRC Ross or some one else mentioned that there is intra-club matches.
 
Seeing that the game has broke in WA. Will EB Games Victoria push to release on Monday? I would imagine they would have stock at a distribution centre by now.

The training is a bit "meh". It isn't bad but is not great either. You can't do set-shots from what I can see. You basically just have 4-5 players and just go and have shots on goal. It isn't bad to kill time.
