there are definately flaws, the short passing game is tough unless you get a decent camera angle and the AI just nail it every time which can be frustrating, Im not 100% sold on it lasting too long as a single player, looking forward to going online, missed an invite from Ross tonight, cant believe it that badge was mine!

but so far so good, its got a good learning curve, the graphics are good, the stadiums look fantastic, you can live with the commentary and the fact Ive just turned it off after starting at 1pm proves that it has legs to keep you going for awhile

I was actually watching the news highlights of the Eagles-Hawks game from today because your bloody game made me miss it!

i dont have the game yet , but from everything ive seen and now heard (commentary) the game looks no better than any of the previous incarnations - footy factory seems to have potential but apart from that it looks real average

i know everyone who has playtested it or now even got it has jizzed their pants over it but is that just purely because its finally a new AFL game to play?

i will buy this and give it a crack - but my hopes arent too high at all

if the commentary is the worst thing about the game (imo it is), then thats a damn good sign IMO

I find it fairly amusing that most that have had the game and played it today are quite positive in their reviews of the game while most of the criticism is coming from people that dont have it and/or havent played it, basing their opinions on crappy youtube vids of people playing the game for the first time....

There is obviously a steep learning curve and plenty of modifiers to learn and get accustomed too, then i think we will see how good this game can be when people actually learn to play it

i would be great if we could get some videos of creating jumpers names and more in the footy factory

in the last video the gameplay wasn't good because it was AI vs AI so they didn't use the goal kicking camera but at some points i would hope they would kick the ball 50m to stop all the tackling.

Hi Ross, just a quick question mate. With all the play tests you did how the hell did you work out not to include 7 minute quarters? Seems crazy!
Also the fact you can not check player stats during the game is very dissapointing. I hope for your sake and Big Ants reputation that you can check the player stats at the end of the game at least!

Was it hard to add these in or did you just not think?

Oh have a winge! The game was already complete at the playtests, and if u have played the game it gives you all the stats at end of qtr and full time, too be complaining so much you obviously have the game already, where in vic is even selling it?

Obviously the extent to which the AI performs those tasks will depend on the difficulty. On Rookie it won't probably be all that flash.

I know for sure that the GWS jumper is in the footy factory, but I'm not sure if the logo is. I'd imagine it would be though, considering the jumper is in.

Street date has been broken by some stores, mostly WA and SA I believe. None so far here in Victoria. Don't know how to collect your pre order bonus, sorry mate.
