what difficulty ochre - it could well be cos im only playing on rookie
jacare - the sprinting is my biggest bug bear so far in this game - sprint doesnt seem to do anything - there is no separation from the back - or bursting away from your defender when you pick up the ball - even chase downs in defence seem impossible
a turbo style bar like in basketball games would have been ideal

Who cares if a few names are wrong, you can change them yourself, right?
I remember in AFL 99 on PSOne, the commentators would always say the wrong name.
I'd be running through the centre with Kouta and Bruce would say, in a monotone voice, "Bradley".

As far as I'm concerned, if the core gameplay is solid, this game is a success. I'm not expecting perfection, just a good starting point.

Any chance of the salary being increased in a patch or anything?
Bit annoying with the umpiring, I never win any free kicks. I tackle them like crazy after they run off and most of the time it should be holding the ball, hardly win it though maybe once every 50 possible chances while they tackle me as soon as I get possession and its holding the ball.
Some expectations are a bit high though and all games have their issues, this will continue to improve.

I don't know about the commentary (he is not in the default Eagles line-up, and I've only played 2 games, both with default teams), but his name is officially listed as Jeff Darling
At first I was like "sTeeL is full of it, the players are listed as J. Darling, D. Kerr etc. etc. etc." But then I clicked on J. Darling to get his full stats...

Press the square button (on PS3)...that acknowledges that you are going to shoot for goal...then kick with the square button.

feel like you have to handball to space to try and get separation - especially when there is no teammate in support to handball too - and if you dont do this and get tackled its holding the ball
