was beating a guy 168-0 online and he quit. 42 inside 50s to 2
and ive won about 15 games in a row online but people keep quitting so it says ive won 10 in a row

Is there any way to save your online tactics and lineups for the next game? 1 minute isn't a lot of time to change things around.

Unfortunately not and I think this would be fantastic!! Even a 'Team Management' section like in FIFA where we can play around with the squads and save our own defaults. I'm sure this feature will come one day :)

This game is great but when you create a team and add players from the real teams to your team they are out of the real team wtf.

First of all congratulations Ross and people of Big Ant. I'm loving this game. If I was to post everything I liked about it I wouldn't be finished until Christmas.
So I'll focus on the minor things I find to be negative to the otherwise fantastic game.

First of all a few of the positives. I actually get drawn into the close matches. Create a player is very good. The depth of the controls I love. In general the game play is extremely solid.

Now to the other stuff.
Like Ross said if you play Fifa it helps. At times that was a hindrance to me. Because I'm use to the players locking on to the ball I kept on over running it. Also I found myself pressing R2 to sprint and R1 to modify the kicks. It is also difficult to do these things at the same time.

The numbers are right for me offline but wrong online? Offline whenever the same player is on 2 teams he wears the lower number for both teams. Eg. Jolly wears #2 for Vic and Collingwood.

A few problems for me with trophys. After my 5th game of the season on professional I got the trophy Hotstreak? Even though I hadn't won all the games. How do you get the trophy for making a player and a custom team because I did both of those but no trophy?

I'm generally at handballing to players a distance a way but I can't do short ones, they just go past the player into space. Help please.

I understand that the custom teams needed a cap to stop people having a team of stars. But I feel that rookies are way to expensive.

When me and my brother put the game on for the first time when he heard the Holy Grail he said "I love this game already." Unfortunately after hours of playing I have both songs running through my head. Maybe you could include the teamsongs as menu songs.

That is about all for now. I actually like the sprint speed as it makes you think about your next disposal. Thanks Big Ant :D:D:D:D:D

The sprint is not a worry I ran from half back with Vossy and nailed a 60 metre torpedo.

Yay I am so happy, finally JB has shipped my copy to AFL Live!! Arghhh now the long wait until the Postie drops it through my flat door. I wonder how long it will take to get to Upminster (where i am living in London) then finally I can play and see what all the fuss is about!! Can't wait to get online! Hurry Post!!

I love how much the dynamics can change from game to game. I'm playing a Professional season with the Crows on 3 minute quarters, and one week i thumped Collingwood easily by 70 points. At that stage i thought, yep, looks ilke i have this game figured out. Then the very next round i got done by the Bulldogs by a goal. To be fair i did fartarse around infront of goal a bit so probably could have won, but it was just like a real game in that you get complacent, and a few mistakes lead to goals and all of a sudden the game is gone.

Can someone give me tips for the midfield? Here are some of the issues I have

- Sprint is not fast enough (Probarbly a problem for many people)

- Numbers around the ball : It seems always that my opponents have open players around contests and they can easily get the handballs out and clear it long.
However, this isn't the same for me. I can rarely find an open player around the contest, my handballs often go nowhere except into space, and if I do land a handball, the reciever is often tackled straight away.

-Rucking - I'm winning taps and punches, but often they are going to either my wingman or the opposition. I try tap it down to my loose centre or rover for a quick clearence but the tap either misses by going too far or an opponent is able to get into position.
When I punch the ball into space, it seems my opponents are always the first to get there and are already in open space. Grrrrrrr. (Could that be to the players I have in the midfield? Polec, Black, Rockliffe?)

Much appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Started to master rookie difficulty now, still having some tough battles, but with a percentage of 256% after 8 rounds (7 games) fairly sure I need to upgrade the difficulty a bit :)

Cheers

I love checking the stats of each player in season mode :) great addition. playing a season with the lions and Rich had 7 tackles, Fevola kicked 6 goals and got best on ground. (odd i know) be good if you could see who got the one and two votes but this is brilliant so far.

Im sure ross said that you can use a custom team in a custom tournament but there is no option to add more teams that thee main 17!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I got this song unstuck from my head after finals last year, but nooooooooooo...

Thanks Ross

Auto-interchange has J. Riewoldt in ruck.

Happens when both your ruckmen are fatigued\or injured, the game picks the next tallest player on the list to take the tap.

Im really having trouble with taking marks.

I see opponents taking diving marks etc but unless my guy is right on the spot he wont take the mark. I know its all about timing but its a pain in the a** and no matter how many times i try i can never pull it off.

Also taking a mark in front in the back line. No matter how hard you try it never works, your opponent can be a metre behind you and he will still take the mark instead of you. Has this got to do with mark attributes etc.? As forwards are generally better markers then backs.

might just be me in general. Marking is not my strongest attribute when playing footy in real life as well!
