im hoping that eventually they will take out injurys for online play. Its fustrating when your in a tight game and all of a sudden your in the last qtr with about 6 injurys.

Its alright for season but online its really not needed and if your unlucky it can easily swing a game

On a 7 win streak.

Up 24 points at 3/4 time. Connection lags like crazy for the last quarter and he wins by 7 points.

Back line side-by-side is probably a good one, other than that I don't find tactics make too much difference. Just be quick on the handball/kick button because you will get tackled a lot and if you allow these tackles to cause ball-ups too often, you will lose.

i was getting beaten most times on legendary with my custom team so i changed the tatics to defensive midfield and the defenders playing in front and i have not lost a game since, i am finding my midfielders getting more of the ball and my half back flanks always creep up onto the wing to help them so i win more contests in the middle.

I'm finding Veteran is way too easy but on Legend I just can't win, I lose every marking contest which makes it hard to play. Any tips for marking contests?

defiantly this for the back line never go for the mark in the back line unless your clearly in front on a lead but that will only happen if your playing your defenders in front like i do

One thing that needs to be improved (imho) is the Team Lineup screen. bloody impossible to work out who you are switching for places, as it sorts by Ratings, instead of alphabetically.

Am I the only one who has no problems with the current team setup screen and actually finds it very handy for swapping players and sorting through players for certain positions?

Been cruising along nicely in my season on legend. Was undefeated but have just lost to Sydney at the SCG by 11 pts, and the Doggies (2nd on my ladder) by 2 pts. Loving it.

It could be better but I am now used to it, and understand the sorting of the players when you select a player to replace so I have no problems with it. Like a few things in this game, once you take the time to understand exactly how it works then it is fine.

im ropeable atm i just played a 2 hour match and i kick a goal on the final siren then it freezes. My whole night wasted on the piece of crap.

I love the game but this just put me off going for the trophy for 20 minute quarters whole season.

whats the point of the trophy??? I win 600+ to 80 bored as hell then it freezes and wastes my whole night.

Please tell me their going to add a save in match or something with bugs like that...

Trying to win the 'Nabbed it' trophy by winning NAB cup on legend with extreme injuries in real time. Got through the first round.
Played the quarter final tonight.
Carlton 2.63.36.432 to Crows 1.15.18.117.

Goals: Waite 11, Murphy 9.
Stats: Henderson 44 (got leather poisioning trophy), Walker 42, Waite 38

This is the only series I have played on legend difficulty. So I desperately need the patch or PSN so I can play someone online.

Online does not have injuries post patch.

I just need to know, why is there no way to see the player stats after the game? Is this something that could be implemented in a patch or not?

Love the game but really disappointing. Seems lazy to not have it in there (or just stupid).

I got used to it very fast.

The only reason you'd realistically need it any different is if you wanted a SPECIFIC player for that position. But really the way it's layed out, it means you should be selecting the best rated player in that position. It makes it very easy if I'm trying to select a replacement for someone in poor form.

Simulate the AI first then play the game, all will be well from there.

PS: Don't save or exit after simming otherwise, like HBK, you will be aiting for the patch to progress.

I love this game. But I just lost alot of faith in it after the last quarter of a game I just played. I was 15 points up, and my players, regardless of stamina, tactics etc absolutely stopped giving a **** about where their opponent was. I have defenders play in front, but they were 25m consistently for the whole quarter, as were my forwards.

I watched in horror as my 15 point lead turned into a 63 point defeat in the space of a 5 minute quarter, in which there were large periods of time where i sat there motionless, not clicking a button watching them kick to kick around the field around my ******edly positioned players. **** i hope that's a one off.

Notice this game has a habit of unpausing itself. 4 times in that last games Vs port I paused, watch the menu come up, turn away and back a few seconds later and Port are lining up for goal...

EDIT: This was all offline, Legendary.

It does happen when players are out on their feet (fatigued) or being absolutely dominated, as happens in the real thing, where things just seem to go wrong all the time. Also, like the real thing if too many players, or even just key ones, are "down" it spreads through the team. It shouldn't happen too often though.

Why are you so angry about such small details?
Yes, there are some things that need improving, but it's a massive step up from other AFL games so get over it!

Its actually pretty good when you get used to it. Like most of the game.

I'd say they didn't have a full team view because it would take up too much space and you wouldn't be able to see it on small TVs.

The only time it is crap is when the players ratings are not accurate to real life for their positions and you have to scroll all the way down for a player that should have higher ratings for that position.

Other than that, it makes changes to your squad a lot easier when you GET USED TO IT.

Reason was due to local multiplayer so both users can interchange players at the same time.

I agree with that,

I would also actually like to be able to see them at end of each quarter to see how well each player is doing.

We had that in 2007 if I recall right. or was it an earlier version?
