But the powers that be with strings to pull will somehow mean.....?? The players will not be charged? Or if charged, will only get a hefty fine from the courts and the 'pies???

Yes, its a conspiracy between the AFL, the players, the Police and the Courts

If proven, these players should be sacked from the club.
Why? The legal matters can be handled by the courts. The football matters alone should decide their fate. If the players wanted them out then that would be a valid consideration. If they get charged and convicted they have to deal with that and the club has to deal with any unavailability to play if it ever got to that. Other than that they list spot should depend on the performances and team requirements.

Geez mate - you reckon they'd get bail to play in the finals series? Has 'attempted murder' been mentioned anywhere in any of the news reports or do you have an overactive imagination?

The blokes that did the same thing to a guy at Sunnybank Railway station in brisbane on SUnday morning, got charged yesterday with attempted murder theys aid on the radio. So, if theya re indeed involved and are charged one would assume the same charge would be applied.

Apparently had the guy on the ground, kicking him, then someone either trying to break it up or trying to intervene recognised them and said they were in big trouble, that person also copped a hiding.

bit of a worry.

How long have these boys been working as bouncers? You'd think with all the money in footy these days they wouldnt need a second job.

What on Earth are you carrying on about?
Just helping Mick with a response when he's eventually asked the inevitable question on Taz.

Or do you reckon the guy that wrote an article about Gardiner and Davis last week will choose not to comment?

So, is that what you saw?
Interesting, who hit who?

**** off murray and stop defending something that can't be defended. They were seen to almost beat a guy to death.

They should be stripped of their place in the club and sent on their merry way. But i expect some kind of spin telling us that both these players are sooooo sowwwy and rewgreat what happened and they will now be cleaning homes for old ladies.

Sack the thugs ffs!

Are you for real? It is attempted murder if they attempted murder. I have no idea what happened at the railway station but what proportion of fights or even beatings end in attempted murder charges? I would thing it would be very low.

Settle down everyone. Unless you where there, who's to say Tarrant or Johnson even touched the guy who ended up in hospital. With a big group of nobody's and two identifiable AFL footballers, it is easy for their names to be the ones thrown up. Every chance they were victims as well.
Being out at 3am is a different story if club has a curfue.

Biggest load of crap i have read in a long time.

GET A LIFE YOU MONGERERS!

You need to know when it's time to accept that your boys are in a spot of bother. That time's now.

Umm, I have accepted that.
What I won't accept is you saying, as a fact, what occurred.

You know as much about what happened as I do - Zilch

True that, bouncers get away with this kind of crap every weekend.

In regards to the relevance to football, I do sort of agree - but you need to remember, that if you're working as an accountant and get done for fraud AWAY from work, it will still count against you at work in the long run. this should be no different for professional footballers.

]Exact same crime[/B], group of blokes, but they only did it to one bloke.Anyways, bloke in hospital. group all charged yesterday.Thats what I was meaning.

So why don't you tell me what happened?
What have Tarrant and Johnson been charged with?
What crime have they committed.

Hey, I got it, head on down to the South Melbourne cop shop, they need you on this one.
