"It's always been the 8th of September (after the April/August bs)... EB are still releasing it on the 25th..."

Is it just me or does that makes no sense whatsoever.

It was originally meant to be released early April, then got pushed back to July 30. The next date they gave us after that was 8th Septemeber 2005.
They never once announced it would be released 25th August 2005.
However for some unknown reason EB are releasing it before the official release date on 25th August 2005.
So basically you don't need to worry about the game being pushed back to 8th September 2005, it will be available at EB in exactly 7 days.
Is that clearer?

Everyone says that but they still get it and play it, you can't help but want to play a game with updated teams. Which in a few weeks will be out of date :S

I made that mistake with AFL 04. Got really ********ed off about the massive squad bug and vowed to wait a couple of weeks till the next one came out.
However my love for a good AFL game has sucked me in into pre-ordering this game without a review. I guess it's the risks you take to make or break.

No one should buy it

They should hire it out and illegally copy it if your Ps2 is modded that will stick it right up em all.

Yes, that would be a fantastic idea wouldn't it? I'm sure they'll work even harder next year on the development of the next game if everyone goes and makes illegal copies of it this year.

I just rang my local EB Games store (Bendigo), and they said September 8th was the release date for AFL 2005 on PS2, saying it had been "pushed back" again.

Damn straight. Go buy from EA Sports instead.

Bloody independent Aussie game development houses. They should all get merged into gigantic American conglomerates. That'd be ********ing fantastic, wouldn't it?
