the video looks pretty good. a big improvement of the last game. i just hope the difficulty is better.

i agree. the video is good. i like the idea of being able to knock the ball along the ground. i agree with the difficulty thing. lookin forward to the game.

so if you liked AFL2004 (except for the bugs and the problems with difficulty levels) this one would be worth buying?
Yeah basically, but the Goal kicking hasa changed, you can't just bash the Square button and it'll go in anymore.

I'm playing on medium now, good challenge, goal kicking is great, not easy and you have to factor in the breeze.

********ing down rain and it's hard to see at the moment!!!

I reckon this game would be sensational if it allowed us to edit player and team ratings. I still can't believe the released the game with Collingwood as the #1 ranked team. Who was their consultant for team rankings???

Eddie perhaps?

And they made Tarrant the best (well from what I've seen) forward in the game!

Ah well for some reason every time I play Collingwood I smash them even on hard. Have beaten them by 50+ points everytime.

Played on easy and medium, almost two seasons. Had a shot at goal from the top of the square, went through and it gave me a behind. Watched the replay from every angle and no matter which way you slice it, it went through dead centre. I'd say that would be a gliche. Nowhere near the man on the mark either.

Every time I put Chris Bryan on the ground from the bench, Dermott would say 'Bryan is on, Bryan is on, Bryan is on'. Got the needle stuck on that recording guys.

Finding it very difficult to take marks in medium mode while little blokes are marking over me. Lose the tap and the opposition tends to wander inside 50 unopposed. Even with a defensive mindset in the back half, nobody will hang around the defensive side of the centre bounce.

Trade week is a good idea but when I can offload most of the Carlton list and get J Brown, N Brown, Riewoldt, Cox, Pavlich, Judd, Cooney, Deledio, Akermanis, Scarlett, Crouch, Dal Santo, Ball, Koschitske, Goddard, Charman, Wells, Griffen, Hodge and a couple of others that escape me and retain Fev, Kouta, Stevo etc, something is up with the trade settings. I only hope this transfers over to reality.

It was fun beating St Kilda in a full match 72 goals to 16 though.;)

The player ratings are all stuffed up, someone like Daniel Wells scored 100 for everything except marking where he got 90. Meanwhile gun KPP are marked well down on plenty of attributes. I reckon they got their rankings from troll threads on the BigFooty main board.

I was looking through the lists at trade time, and Byron Schammer had 100 for everything except for stamina, which was rated 98. Asked for a trade and was asked for pick 51  ...DEAL! Also managed to secure Dal Santo, Maguire, Pavlich, Griffen and Mundy all pretty cheap. Offered Tivendale to the doggies, and they offered Fevola in exchange...shipping him off after only one season :D

My playing 18 at it's best:

B: D. Mundy D. Gaspar C. Newman
HB: R. Griffen M. Maguire J. Bowden
C: M. Coughlan C. Judd R. Tambling
HF: N. Dal Santo M. Pavlich K.Johnson
F: N. Brown M. Richardson B. Deledio
R: T. Simmonds S. Tuck B. Schammer

That happened to me a few times as well.

I still cant kick a goal on the run. If the winds going to the right and i line the player straight to the goals he misses. If i aim to the left he still misses. How do you people get goals on the run?
Its crap how the players kick it only like 30 metres.

you guys seem to be saying you offer a player to a team and they select who u get in return or you ask for a player from a team and they say what he is worth.

is it possible to go to Brisbane for example and say 'we want Luke Power for pick 8'?
