Not sure if this is the right thread, feel free to move.

Been hearing a fair bit about David Rath recently, notably on the Don the Stat and LCP pods. Bio-mechanist by trade and being given a fair bit of credit for the elite kicking skills of Hawthorn's dominant era. Apparently is working closely with Parish and Tsatas who both 'want to improve their disposal' (music to many ears on here I'm sure).

Has also apparently brought some innovative changes to training, including shifting main training to Sat through the off season to replicate game schedules in the season proper. Spoken very highly of by people around the club and in an around footy. Seems like an excellent appointment.

Brad Scott spoke well of him as well, apparently part of the job is also making sure that what they’re trying to teach is what is actually being taught

OMG yes

This is one of the most important pieces in any workplace

“We taught it in induction. And it’s in the procedure”

“Is anyone doing it?”

“Well…. No”

2020 Bombers
Dew era GCS

what a resume :p
To be fair his role with us in 2020 doing a review of our leadership which resulted in the recommendation there was a lot to do in that area. As far as the GC goes he was a coaching mentor and he was also a voice in pushing the GC to improve their training facilities and standards.

A facetious joke I couldn't resist :p
Could have said the same for the roos contingent that have joined to run the joint but they've done well
Sometimes it's the ppl, but often times the joint

Mallett was once tasked with reviewing the Bombers’ leadership programs in 2020 by former president Paul Brasher.

He continued working with Essendon coaches in 2022, helping the staff learn about educating and teaching players and giving and receiving feedback.
Sounds like an expensive ****ing wank.

Is that the right way to give feedback? I'm still working on it...

Rohan O’Brien from WCE is joining our recruiting team.

Not sure about this one. Would another middling club be satisfied to accept Adrian Dodoro coming aboard?

Maybe after 33 years the change of scenery might be good for OBrien. He obviously also built the grand final lists of 05 and 06 and 18. He's got that over Dodo anyway.

Not like they did not win a flag in 1992 / 1994 / 2006 / 2018 . Adrian can not say he had a hand in building a premiership side in three different eras. I would be more worried if it was someone who had spent 20 plus years at a club and produced no GF appearances and limited finals wins. Not like he has not recruited some good players in recent times.

The issue has been not using draft picks rather than who they’ve been drafting.
