I disagree the aim of both the defenders and attackers in one team is to score more points then their opponents. St Kilda is a good example there game plan is not to score as much as possible. when there is 3 minutes left in the second quarter why do player play kick to kick sometimes. They want to control the tempo and momentum of the game in the aim of winning. They want to win they don't care how many points they have or there opponents have as long as they have more points.

On a macroscopic scale yes, on a microscopic scale there is often more to it. Ie. If Geelong were to beat Hawthorn 210-200, the team would be happy with the win, but the defense would most likely be disappointed with their output. Similarly, if they won 35-30, the offense may be disappointed. Teams do go into games with the aim of achieving or preventing a certain score.

What you've said about St Kilda applies to every team in every competition.

????

You get all those players listed to be the player to score most goals in the game?

Riewoldt included? And you get $13?

Have I read that right?

So bet on the unders for Saints games.

actually only one of my sentences was talking about st kilda, which was this one:

St Kilda is a good example there game plan is not to score as much as possible.

perhaps it was badly written sorry about that everything after that was meant generally.

I see what your saying but your talking about things that never happen. If you bring up realistic scores 65-60 or 125-120, no i don't think the winning team will be disappointed by the outcome in terms of there defense or offense. Just because an extra ten goals is kicked against you doesn't mean you defended badly that just what type of game it was (both tactically and how the cookie crumbled)

Am I the only one thinking 20 points is staggeringly low for the line in the Suns game? They've just come back from Perth, the Roos are off a good win and they'll be fired up for Boomer breaking the games record.

Bam. And the dirt is gone.

I need a catch phrase, I'm seriously considering that.

bets for 10/06 through 11/06. Including small write up.
parlay 1:
St kilda 1-39 at 2.15
geelong 1-19 at 4.50
g ablett most disposals group a at 2.90
.5 units

st kilda wood over dogs last few meeting. All close. (prelim 1 and 2) all or nothing game =both clubs 100%. St kilda edge out in a close 1. Dogs to many changes. No rythm, no consistency. St kilda not a bad loss to pies. Good form

geelong history edge over hawthorn. All close. This will be low scoring game. Both defence in top form. Hawthorn up for game. Geelong rested players. Fresh. Buddy? Taylor +lonergan good form over buddy.

G ablett v/good last 4 games vs roos (33,27,39,31) starting to heat up in 2011. Regaining form of last few years

parlay 2:
J. Gwilt most disposals group b at 6.00
r douglas most disposals group b at 4.75
geelong- hawthorn either team under 24.5 at 2.05
.4 units

j. Gwilt in solid form (+20 last 4 games). Rises to big occasion (20+ in prelim and gf last year). Playing more game time (ruck vs collingwood). Will be a solid game tonight. Good value at 6.00 in tight game

r douglas in solid form at aami. Not a very strong group. History vs west coast shows + career average. Expect adelaide to get high possesions against westcoast.

Geelong- hawthorn either team under 24.5 see above.
