Been waiting for this match up and think the Hawks are big overs this week.......

Hawks v Cats last 8 meetings..... ( since Cats have been a force )
Geelong have started favs in all 8 and are 0 and 8 in covering the line..
Hawks greatest losing margin being 11 pts.

Will the Cats win? Yes they may ...they are a class unit but its beyond dispute Hawthorn match up well..... Have key players flying are in form and have close to a full list.
Cats will be missing Mooney Stevie J which is a fair bit of firepower.

Geelong have opened at $1.42 on Centrebet which is insane......

It looks like you are going to get around a +15.5 line the Hawks which makes this my first play for about a month.

If you have a betfair account I'd also be pretty sure that the Cats have traded over $2.00 in all those last 8 match ups and would expect them to again this Sat....

Betfair Flucs from the R2 match this year:

Opening Quote (GEEL) 1.62/1.64ish, (HAW) 2.56/2.58ish

Geelong (major peaks and troughs) -

2.00 @ 14:19
3.00 @ 14:30
2.10 @ 14:43
3.20 @ 15:34
2.00 @ 16:27
4.00 @ 16:34
1.01 @ 16:43

Thanks Jan Juc..... Yep remember the game well hope you made a dollar too.

This is not on knock on the Cats as i believe a wet MCG and St.kilda
are the only thing that MIGHT beat them.

Just think Hawks are in a great spot here and see that centrebet have posted the line at +18.5 which i think is huge...

Hawks are overrated rubbish. Who have they beaten this year?

Got pantsed by Collingwood.

Early thought of a multi something like this

Hawks +39.5
Freo +24.5
North +39.5
Dogs +24.5
@ 2.35

Will have to look into the history of the North/Swans matchups at the SCG but surely the Roos will fire up after this weeks effort. The Swans haven't really smashed anyone for a while.

There is definitely some huge value around this week.

only certainty imo

collingwood straight
saints straight
$5k @ $1.40

hawks look tasty
possibly even west coast with the line
bulldogs wont lose to the blues

adelaide have been fairly terrible this year
there is also the subiaco factor

west coast with the line...

Really not sure what to make of it all this early in the week - looks to be a tough round where a lot of games could go either way. Only certainties I would say are Collingwood and probably saints, though you could argue for adelaide as well.

Collingwood at $1.15
Geelong/Hawthorn, either under 39.5, will be around $1.25
Adelaide/West Coast is an interesting one given the home ground adv, staying away
St.Kilda at $1.22
Richmond/Fremantle
, Don't like betting on either team, will stay away.
Sydney at $1.44. They will be fired up, and at the SCG think they will win.
Melbourne/Essendon, Wouldn't have a clue. Staying away
Carlton/Western Bulldogs, Carlton are their bogey side, but Dogs are in form and will win, at $1.50
