AFL Round 17

Not sure why the people that backed Adelaide are upset that they lost betting on the underdog, Essendon was expected to win after all. I could understand if it was a situation like tomorrow with West Coast where a team that is higher on the ladder but is the underdog. Adelaide is way below Essendon on the ladder though and has got beaten by the likes of Brisbane and Port Adelaide. I know the manner that they lost may be the reason for being upsetting but what did you expect from Adelaide four solid quarters?

I looked at footywire to see that Essendon had lost. Then came on here to be a bit confused by the comments, checked again on another site and the dons had won after all.
First one of my long shot multi in the bank. Only six more to go.
Bit of a lucky rollercoaster. :D Wish I'd got in on those 8.00+ before half time odds for the dons.

ok adding

1u cloke first goal any qtr @ 5
good odds as stated above

2u field most goals vs riewoldt @ 1.72
ussually its the smalls getting it done over the GC

2u murphy over pendles in DT @ 2.2
murphy is in better form, collingwood dont tag and gibbs did an alright job on pendles last time

2u martin over cotchin in DT @ 2.12
matin leads h2h and even though ive been burnt taking this exact match up several times this year, martin only struggles when he cops a tag, GC dont tend to tag players, could see him kicking a bag.

Few for the Tigs GC game

Tipster: The Oracle
Event: Richmond V Gold Coast (CAZ)
Date of Event: 16-07-2011
Time of Event: 14:10
Sport: AFL
Tip: Cotchin to have over 27.5 possessions
Odds: $1.9
Units: 3
Sportsbook: Centrebet
Comments: Cotchin is averaging 24 possessions per match and should benifit from the usual boost when playing GC.

Tipster: The Oracle
Event: Richmond V Gold Coast (CAZ)
Date of Event: 16-07-2011
Time of Event: 14:10
Sport: AFL
Tip: Any other to beat Jack Reiwoldt most goals
Odds: $1.72
Units: 5
Sportsbook: Centrebet
Comments: I'll take the 23 other players in what should be a free flowing game

No probs, the incredible DT value bet today is Murphy to beat Pendlebury @ $2.20.

This is a 50/50 contest at abosulte best.

Agreed. :thumbsu:

Gibbs will surely tag Pendles, as he did earlier on in the year when he did a slight number on him. Conversely, the Pies will just go head to head with Murphy.

Another of value is Martin vs Cotchin/Deledio/Riska @ $3.40.

Can see Martin kicking a few goals, with the GC backline struggling to contain smaller/mid-sized goalkickers. If he drifts up forward or bursts through the middle I struggle to see how they will contain him. If he kicks a handful he should get over the line of the others.
