Why does a draw feel worse than a loss?

Brown's inaccuracy, Bradshaw lack of fitness and our midfield's poor use of the ball let us down.

Also, I never want to hear "touched play on" again.

I'd feel worse if we lost. 2 points is 2 points.

The positive is that surely we'll never play that badly again. To get 2 points out of it is more than we deserve. Draws don't sting as much when you come from behind.

Agree. Forwards did not fire and we managed to come away with a draw.

Any views on Selwood's game?

Would think next week will be the time to re-introduce Trapper, we are going to make the finals. We need to know if he can lift and be a contributor.

Harding keeps his spot based on the fact he kicked 2 goals and attacked the footy well. He did butcher that pass to Brown when we were on a role. We need his pace.

I thought Selwood was average at best. IMO Harding played his best game in a long while he looked really determined and i would like to think that he has kept his spot. How good is Redden? Did anyone see that pass to Browny? (the one that he dropped)

Yeah, great kick that. Just as they were saying that Browny was covered and wouldn't be able to be targetted.

There's just something about a draw that doesn't sit right with me.

Still, on the plus side it eliminates the percentage issue, so we're still a good chance of a home final.

On the other hand, we're really running out of steam, that's something that has to be addressed next year.

I thougth Rischitelii was outstanding. Harding kicked 2 great goals. Brown was good but didn't kick any goals. Bradshaw not fit likewise Drummond. Black you superstar. Power, Clark and Sherman all played well. Liked McGrath's game. Hawksley and Redden were both good again. Give Rich the bloody rising star NOW. 2 great goals. Not happy with the draw but at the same time it is better than a loss and I can't see us not making finals now. Huge chance next week now after having and average game we should come out firing in front of our home crowd. Both sides have to travel to Brisbane but the Lions do much earlier. Plus Bradshaw and Drummond will be another weeks fit and Brown didn't kick a goal against the Bombers so I expect him to kick a bag Clark and Rich are outstanding. Oh and great to see Mcgrath, Brennan and Stiller all consistent performers. Harding had a good game and Sherman is starting to fit in to the same calibre of importance as Black, Brown, Power and Bradshaw. Plus he is starting to get big possie numbers and kicking a goal or 2 week in week out now which is fantastic. So a lot of pluses especially with Redden performing well as well.

Lets just focus on winning first. The doggies losing today will have them pumped and ready for next week. At the Gabba we should win, but I have a feeling our boys will be ****ed after today.

Daniel Rich is the best thing since sliced bread.

His left boot is worth its weight in Californium. Which (according to the internet) is something like US$1,000 per gram.

Harding has finally produced a solid game, I think his inclusion has finally been justified.

WTF is this with all this negative crap in this thread.

Browny had a shocker, Bradshaw got towelled by Dust-bin, the umpires paid some shockers against us and flatly refused to reward our hard work (especially in the last quarter), the Bummers pulled a few freaky goals out of their arses, we had 27 scoring shots to 22, were morals and certainties to lose with 10 seconds left on the clock...and yet managed to jag a draw.

Not only that but Harding actually did some good things

The draw is as good as a win IF we roll the Dogs next week....which I'm confident we will do.'

A win would have been great but a draw from that situation combined with further promising signs from our younger players is almost as good

Seriously. Got away with it. Harding is not perfect, but earn't his spot. Ditto the Hawk. Brennan is a freak. Braddles - beaten matchwinner? Clarkey for AA. How good an athlete is he? More marks on the last line than anyone. Rog Merret is a legend. Riska stood up. SOKS - stick with him. Possum has played better. Redden is Simon Black's love child.

All in all, could be worse.

Oh crap I just relised that if Freo beat Port tommorow finals is basically ours meaning Essendon have to win every game from now on and they will be on our points which means finals is basically ours now. So come on boys a draw or a win and finals is ours. Or, a bigger percentage than Essendons which we have right now!

Well no fingernails left after that. Was a really exciting fourth qtr, never been so glad to get two points plus the crows lost so in fifth spot. Was really impressed with our commitment in the lasst qtr we didnt give up, mind you neither did the bombers. I am pretty happy with 8 goal kickers seeing JB missed all his shots. Most of the game seemed to be played in our half of the ground. Some shocking errors, crap umpiring but also some good things. Riska's best game for a while finally worked where the goals are, McGrath keeps performing consistently, jared had a good game, harding was determined although a few usual dodgy handpasses but was much more switched on than usual. Sherman is also reliable....finally. I personally would like to se TJ back as i just think we have one or two too many young ins on the field, i know they need development but i would like a bit more experience out there given we are so close to finals, finally.

Nah keep Sammy in has earnt his spot. Would hate for a great young player to be kicked out before finals for someone like Johnstone when he hasn't toughed out the year and than Travis gets to come in for finals. So basicallly thats making the kids do all the hard work and than bringing in the older players for the fun stuff. Not fair if you ask me and probally Vossy.
