Must say a bit dissapointed with Hawkins' efforts around the ground. Was just loping around once Sydney had the ball. Would anyone agree or am i being a little harsh. Only talking about his defensive work. Was good in the 3rd.
I think that's a fair comment he just didn't look 100% ,the energy level looked a bit down to me.

Disagree mate.

They flooded him for the most part because we struggled to move it quickly past half forward.

AND I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ADD I WOULD UNASHAMEDLY DO JOEL SELWOOD. MY GOD IS HE GOOD OR WHAT?

I was only referring too his defensive work when the swans had it just thought he could have chased a little harder. When we had the ball was great and competed well. Just thought he could have ran and chased a little more.

Selwood has a heart bigger than Pharlap.

Taylor hunt looks a real beauty. Great composure and sure of hand and foot

Harry Taylor is possibly next to the captain, Geelong's most important player.

Not sure about the next captain but I would contend that he is the General in defense. Scarlo can not be replaced - but HT has taken the general role and his marshaling and game play is just brilliant.

Scotty's plan to allow him to push forward and hirt them on the rebound is just paying massive fruit. Lonners has done it to. Makes their forwards insanely accountable. Great game plan.

GHS is the next captain. Great speaker and i reckon they've been making him earn his spot like they did back in 2002-2003 with our main crop of 2-3 time premiership stars. Would be very surprised to see him out of the side from now on, he's just jumped from 22-23 player to 10-15 player picked.

10 -15 is probably high but with that said, he will play again next week. He was on fire pre season, and this was his first proper hit out since - and he nailed it. Everyhting you want he does and did.

Awesome effort.

Loved that win. Bloods been getting at my goat since grand final. Aside from Selwood and Motlop, also loved West cleaning out Mumford. Hawkins stood up in second half. Taylor was the other key. He marks when and where he wants.

Happy to say I tipped this!
Great effort, great win, another one in the bank

And I would like to say well done to the bitzer. As Scotty says, he may not have a pedigree, but he belongs. He really competed well tonight. Very interested to see how he goes six games from now.

And just think who's not out there ATM, varcoe, menz, vardy, macintosh to name a few....

Nice work on the bet :thumbsu: , I gather you did go through with it?

of course mate, had a very good feeling we'd win.
Just too good at the moment, test will come later in the year when Motlop, Smedts, Bundy drop their output a little.
