Roarke Smith is the epitome of a VFL player.

O-Mac to our VFL program is a strange one given how many young KPP's we have and a possible addition of Sam Weideman

Until this post I thought his surname was Roarke-Smith….one of those names, the commentators never just call him Smith, always use first and last name.
I wish I had more exciting news, alas that’s all the mail I’ve got

Does that mean Eyre and/or Brand , McBride are unlikely to stay ?
I would consider one would go especially if Weidemann does arrive.

Geez that was a terrible deal for north. I’d be furious as a supporter

Meh. Did what they can. JHF seems like a petulant brat, I wouldn't be confident he doesn't walk to PSD.

They know who they gave up in the draft and will be happy to pocket Wardlaw and Sheezel along with Port's first next year. Which is no guarantee to much be improved on this year as JHF isn't ready to push them up the ladder. I'm guessing they win one final. So probably pick 12ish in a really strong draft. Also picked up picks in the 40's and if they walk away with a Scully or Lemmey there; they've got their structure.

As an aside - seeing the melts in the North board over JHF leaving is mind blowing. How can you be so wrapped up in trying to get wins for your club that you feel good talking about a 19 year old like that. You just know they're the type to spillover into his DMs/social media too. Just disgusting (although given they're the same people defending Clarkos alleged actions I guess I shouldn't be shocked)

So what could North have had if the sum total of everyone in its footy department was 3/4 of a brain?

Gibcus and xx and xx?

Then take whoever they want with 1 or still split it?
Josh Rachele (pick 6), 2022 pick 1, 2022 pick 5, 2022 pick 15.

I said it at the time, absolute insanity they passed up on it.

I still stand by my question about what they've actually lost this year on the podcast.

I'm sorry this was always coming. They acted like unprofessional idiots.
Adelaide turned the picks they originally offered for JHF into Jordan Dawson, Josh Rachele and Izak Rankine.

I'd say Adelaide dodged a bullet.

To be fair, he wouldn't be asking Adelaide to go home.

Gibcus kills because he's what they need and looks a gun. Pair him with McKay and you've got a pairing that could be the best going around.

It's not just that. It's the 5 rucks on the list and distorted level of investment. I suppose I should be less critical of McDonald as he's the same level of risk as JHF but that's probably not why they made the call.

Just an absolute shambles.

To top it off they've basically just traded down JHF and pick 1 for a mid range first round pick.

North is the only side in that deal I'd be pissed with if I was a supporter.

Reckon Eagles have done fairly well tbh. 8, 12 and ports future second and third for 2, 40 and Rioli.

Load up in next years draft with extra pics while gaining access to decent WA talent. They prob pick Gibney and Hewett.

Hard to put a price on the value of super elite talent. If someone had offered that for Clayton Oliver and Melbourne took it, I doubt they'ed have become premiers.
