What about getting Lordo to don the sash again. His ego would be up for it and it'd likely get punters through the turnstiles. Does OK in the EJ Whitten matches, which is similar in quality to the average lolnorf outing.
Pretty sure he did his hamstring just taking a few shots at goal under zero pressure for a television stunt a couple of years back, him vs Carey or Fevola or one of those? must be made of tissue paper

I still remember in 2006 when he ripped a hamstring tendon off the bone. He never kicked the same after that.

I guess we could although I would say Voss would be a longshot given he got moved on under the current coach.
I rate Eyre as a defender . Not sure what he has been doing at the Pies over summer but if it is forward one would hope he has improved his marking which was deplorable as a forward for us.

I dont think we need to rush to fill his spot with another key forward or necessarily a tall. The list is pretty balanced and we have plenty of tall options forward and back in both AFL and VFL. Id wait and leave room to make a move or not when we want.

We luckily picked up Caddy too.

I can't see all of McKay, Ridley, Cox, Reid and Laverde all playing back in the same backline.

Been out of the loop for a little while, news about Hunter is devastating, anyone training with us?

Assuming Davey.J is out of action and now Hunter could leave us two spots to being people in, unlikely ?
Why would Jayden be out of action?

Some magpie watches have been most impressed by Eyre apparently

I guess the saints also overlooked him, but talls can take longer. I believe hes been doing Fwd and chop out ruck stuff for the pies. Between him and Teakle to replace a Mcstay i believe. Maybe both get a go aswell

By all reports he was going well at the Saints until he pulled the hammy off the bone which is why they passed.

Eyre has been playing as a key defender this pre-season. Teakle is the one thats been playing forward and chop out in the ruck

So what we looking at for the next offseason?

Retire: Heppell and Goldstein
Trade: Shiel to Melbourne for #31
Delist: Hunter, Wanganeen and Kelly
Free Agent - Oleg Markov

Draft:
#8, #28, #31, #RD1 and #RD2 - Five picks. Need to make sure we draft another midfielder and ruckman in this group and the other three picks can be best available.

Depends on how we do this year.

McKay Reid Ridley Cox Martin Redman McGrath is a pretty solid defence if everything works out there aren’t any immediate needs there

needs seem to mostly be in the forward line and you can never have too many midsize mids but there doesn’t seem to be too pressing of a need anywhere

Edit: This will obviously change over the course of the season as some players exceed expectations and others disappoint. Roster holes reveal themselves ect.

Think Kelly retires tbh but minor quibble. Can see Stringer getting a mid season trade to a contender.

Is the mid season trade coming this year or 2025? I thought it was supposed to be next year.
