I love the rumours around the footy world, a bike show has been held at our club for a few years before this one, but as we didnt make any money in 2009, we got a scottish pipe band day at the club instead, so i take it we won the flag on underworld money. Very funny, we wish people would just give us money. no truth to the rumour but very funny. and if they did give us money what would be the drama, any sporting club would take it.

kenmore would've started their preseason already I would've thought. Bear are you there??

So any other rumours or known movements for State Assoc Div 2? I here Coomera are 98% certain to come up.... 85 views of our coaching ad on here and about 7 applications so a good tool to use if anyone else is looking....

The word is Nambour is comign up as well from Div 3 North and Robina may remain down in div 2 due to financial reasons but only rumours if anyoen can confirm that would be great
 
Is theren any word of any club from Div 1 State Assoc. getting premoted to the Pineapple Hotel cup comp?

be tough on any side going up. level steps up again from Assoc to Div 2. Couple of years ago wynnum were flogged by a grange side that didn't play finals.
I would say the only side that could go up maybe Caloundra, but whether you'd want to do that is another thing, higher grade means more $$ to spend on recruitment of coaches, players etc. to be successful. With Magpies going down I would say they are a favourite along with Noosa, Sandgate for the flag next year.

How does everyone think Kedron and Robina will go if they go up to Div 1 from Div 2?

Why would Coomera go up into Div 2? They didnt even make the Div 3 Final?

It's a numbers game in Div 3. If you can field a seniors and reserves team comfortably, then you should be in Div 2. Coomera had plenty of numbers this year and should be a decent outfit in Div 2 if they can recruit a little extra quality.

Reckon Robina will do alright. Mid-range I would think with there Reserves facing competition best suited to their depth. What was there final percentage, 400% or something? Should stay in Division 1.

Kedron I reckon will take perhaps a few seasons adjusting, but have done really well to get promoted. I thought Beenleigh were a shoe-in for the promotion, but Kedron was a nice surprise.
 
Anyone heard the rumour that Tom Corless is coaching the bears next year? Big coup for the bears to secure a two time premiership coach from Yeronga. Wonder what happened to cause that fallout.

Yep, heard that rumour, but now looks like it is confirmed?? Anyone willing to do so??

I think Robina and Kedron will ok in the comp above.... Both were pretty well drilled sides this year and will probably only improve....

I beleive Nambour and Coomera will be in Div 2 so keeping it at 11 teams so byes again....

Apparently a fair few boys are crossing back over from Western Magpies who have been playing state league the last few years. Not confirmed yet but one or two big names are on the cards.

good news if its true, as the bears were disgraceful this season gone. although with the magpies dropping down they would be right up there to win a PHC flag which I think would entice a number of the lads to remain at pie land.

rumour that Nick Aldridge could land at the bears as well if the rumour of Corless is true....

Care to name any names with the old boys or magpies players? My understanding was the old boys left because of a falling out with coaches and committee. Would expect there would have to be a bit of groveling to get them back, either that or cash. As for magpies players, are we talking ones or twos players? If it was twos, you'd better keep recruiting because they aren't much good at the magpies so you'll still be way behind.
 
Anyone ever noticed that, with the change of just one letter, the Mighty Leopards become the Mighty Leotards? Not that I am making any comment regarding their footy toughness or after dark choice of attire. Just interesting to note that's all!

Any more interesting rumours or goss going around? It seems Corless is a definite, any Robina boys heading to Coomera so they don't have to play Div 1??
 
Will Griffith still be div 2 after this season? Surely they would be dropped down a div after not winning a game?
