Game Day AFLW Round 4, 2024: West Coast vs Collingwood

Just part of the AFL condensing the everloving **** out of the fixture. Affects all sides (as far as I’m aware), wasn’t an Eagles or non-Vic initiative, they’re just trying to squeeze 11 games into 10 weeks.

Playing off a four day break against a team who has a three day break PLUS travel is dangerous and negligent. Shouldn’t be emulated in the men’s and shouldn’t happen again imo.

The girls will forever be the guinea pig/second class citizens to the mens game. The amount of dicking around these women gotta deal with every year is amazing.

They're going to be shit out of options when we expand to 12 rounds so I hope they do away with this garbage.

I'm not getting ahead of myself with where we are at currently. Have got over some teams that have lossed players to injury during game which would help our chances, but it's unreal to see the belief and system growing within the group. Sometimes that's all you need to unlock what's been beneath the surface all along.

They only go up to 12 if they hit broadcast and crowd benchmarks, and playing games on Tuesdays and at shit venues is a good way to ensure they don't have to.

It'd be nice if the AFLW succeeded in part because of the AFL's influence, not in spite of it.
