Hope your prediction is right MSB. Toughest game yet for sure. While the percentage has evened up a bit now, the Crows have looked the strongest at putting scores on the board in a comp where scoring is difficult. Looking forward to this top of the table clash. A place in the GF up for grabs here probably.

Huge game, the winner of this will be flag favourite and should get home ground advantage. This team has the ability to score quickly but generally gets caught up in very scrappy play. If this game has a lot of stoppages I dont like our chances as much as our on ballers seem to be second to the ball a lot, they do tackle, but I would prefer we were making the play.

Yeah, scrapping's not our thing. Keep the ball in motion as much as possible. Hit the scoreboard.

I wonder how much credit can be given to the girls team for seeming to turn the mentality of the Lions around?

We probably should wait for round 1 before making that claim,
(a) because pre-season games aren't good indicators, and
(b) by that point they'll have the inspiration of an AFLW grand final appearance to inspire them ;)

Appearance? Not backing them in for the win?

I backed away because residual uncertainty in scheduling could mean they play the GF the day after (or the same time as) the R1 game. (Although it looks very like the GF will be the Saturday afternoon now)

I suppose the point I was making is that all of a sudden "the lions" whether it is the women or the men's, are getting wins on the board. If I was the guys I would be looking at the girls team and thinking "nobody rated them, but they are just going out and playing and loving the game...and winning." Surely it has to be a positive to the lads even though I doubt there is much if any interaction between the teams. I feel half the time last year we were mentally defeated before the game started, but every game is new and the girls have shown a great attitude towards there approach to playing the game in general.

Hopefully there is some 'interaction' between Josh Schache and Tayla Harris.

I would probably imagine, very little.
One would think that, that ball was in motion long before the girls started playing games.
The appointment of both Noble and Fagan and the experiences and culture that they bring is the catalyst for a more healthy environment currently at the lions.
The fact that the girls are winning games just adds to the new upbeat and positive environment and if the guys can continue the improvement on the field will only add to that further.
I love what the girls have brought to the lions and i am enjoying every bit of what they have to offer to our great club. And if all of the boys are fully invested then they will be loving it to.
Lets hope we continue on the up and up.
Both on and off the field.

Let's go Lions, let's go!! (clap clap)
