Aflw rule ?

Just noticed Gabby O'Sullivan is about to play her 75th game for Freo, which made me wonder what the rules are for mother/son , how many games does a lady aflw player have to play for a team before her son qualify's for the rule ?
if anyone knows how it all works can you fill us in please.

It’s the AFL. They’ll introduce the rule the year after we miss out. (And it will also suspiciously be a year where a big Vic team benefits)

I’ve always thought that they should make it a ratio compared with the men’s game.

The qualifying rounds for men, consists of 22 games. They must play 100 games for father & son.

Have a similar ratio for the women, so around 5 seasons (injuries permitting).

hard to do with womens not having a set figure, they've been slowly trending up on games played per season each year

They'll probably finally set a rule in about 10 years when its relevant
