Tilly Banfield has genuinely freakish fitness. Off the charts sort of stuff.

Quite a few of the WAIS hockey girls were getting interested in footy. Tilly’s insane endurance was what got us interested in her.

I wish her all the best and am glad she’s one of ours.

I tells ya though, if we're looking for elite talent outside footy, the sport we should be looking to poach the most is tennis. It really hones contested play, acute decision making, direct lines to the fall of the ball and an almost non-stop focus on getting to the best position. All qualities that translate much better than those in sports where the contest is highly regulated in favour of the ball possessor.
