If you were to speak from anyone at Port or Brisbane, I'd say there's only 1 trophy they're interested in.
That's probably highlighting the problem. Would be nice if there was a minor round trophy that was worthy of the excitement. Imagine if that 2002 final round win against Brisbane meant we won the trophy and a million bucks. It would've made that a far more valuable result.

I'm pretty sure it was minor round only

Yes it is, Hawthorn won it with their final minor round victory in the AFLW, edging out Brisbane.

Port came third.

I was asking about the Stanley H Lewis SANFL trophy. For some reason I felt like the points for wins continued into the finals.
I was refering to the old Stanley H Lewis

Oops my bad, should have read more posts.

Anyway the old Stanley is a minor round award across all grades.

It includes sanflw league results now too.

Wouldn't it just make more sense to award two Trophies
One for the Girls ladder leader at the end of the regular season - to be named
One for the Guys - the McClellan Cup
Both get $500k

Insert Meerkat
Because they're trying to create an award for the best performed club over a year. Having separate awards for the men and women doesn't achieve that.

And they've managed to find a metric which awards the 'best performed club of the year' to a club that finished 7th in one competition and 2nd in another much shorter competition.

Just make AFLW games count for the same as AFL games. The fact that their season is shorter doesn't mean that every two AFLW wins should count for one men's win.

Sportsbet says $4.85, and the Hawks are $1.17. Obviously our 7 wins in a row were a fluke.

That's crazy. Hawthorn aren't that good and we were very impressive against Richmond. Arnell's minimalist Fos Williams game plan works well for our team.

Odds are definitely wrong based on an analysis of results. They should be favs, they will likely win, but it's a 3.20 to 1.40 type game at worst.

The biggest problem with it is that the Women only play the 11 games. How you finish a season is even more influenced by which teams you play against. Hawthorn played 1 top 4 side, and they lost to the Crows.

Hawthorn played 3 top 8 opponents in their 11 games. Brisbane played 2. We played 4.

Lol. Farcical.

Matilda Scholz plays finals footy tonight!! 😃

Legit feels akin to the Scott Hodges days having her in the lineup.

We might lose a given game, but we have the undisputed freak of freaks doing their best to ensure that doesn’t happen.
