Aker Articles "Best game to date"

Have noticed something, every time a sports journalist writes about Aker in a game review this line comes out.

probably his best game in red, white and blue, Akermanis

This was said after the Collingwood game, the Freo game probably elsewhere and again by The Age about his game against Essendon. (Link below)

Do you think its journalists believing the perception that Aker is under performing. They then get the chance to watch Aker live for the first time and think gee Aker is playing good must be "the best he has ever played for the dogs".

I think he has been a fantastic acquisition and pretty consistent all year, considering its a new team and environment. Also the fact we were able to get him for practically nothing, I see no reason why anyone can knock him or our decision to pick him up.

Actually met the great man last week at a work function and couldnt believe how small he was. 5'10" at absolute best and skinny (though wouldnt want to try running through him).
