Uh... It's ThursdayFair to say there's zero chance now a decision is made public by Wednesday yeah?
Starting to think the contract situation with Hawthorn has been the issue all along.
Despite the arguments that he could've signed already and not not been in breach, by not signing he's been able to keep the dialogue going with us. Allowed him to discuss all manner of things, assistants, players etc.
Potentially he received legal advice saying that if he signed with us before the end of the season, he'd have to cease contact with us to not breach his Hawthorn contract.
Now the season's about to end, no more Hawthorn contract conditions and so he can sign and stay in contact.
You really believe * as dysfunctional and disrespectful as they have been, would SACK a coach on the SAME DAY that they announce another coach? He probably knows by the time he announces it that job will be vacant, they can still sack Ruts tonight or tomorrow morning!
If we had no history here to provide context you would say the favourite position is that he doesn't coach at all - he looked quite glum about the whole thing.Yep I watched both channels and was about to post the same. I get the feeling that the choice is down to us or nothing.
Woresfold! WTF?Errybody needs to relax!
So that’s two posters who said we should have champagne on ice who’ve now said it’s North or more time out. That’s disconcerting.
I guess you could look at a week like this and wonder why you’d put yourself (your husband, your dad) up for a senior coaching job, even if before you were keen.
Still crossing my fingers and trying to focus on Sonja’s cheery confidence.
And if he hadn’t been the Essendon stuff would’ve been dismissed outright and he wouldn’t be discussing that ‘job’ with reporters.
Yep. There’s a lot of posters on here who probably need to start preparing themselves. So that’s two posters who said we should have champagne on ice who’ve now said it’s North or more time out. That’s disconcerting.

No, you're just a bed wetter scared of being hurt. Wouldn't exactly call it a shinboner trait. Goes for plenty of others tooNo. I’m a North Melbourne fan looking at the situation objectively.
1) He did say that Rutten still has a year on his contract, in the Adelaide video. Equally, if rules out the Essendon job that just pours fire on the speculation that he's been approached by them in the first place - while they have a contracted coach. Why would he do that? You guys are cracking me up. The walls are falling down and the empire is crumbling but all you can see are sunny skies and rainbows.
1) he could’ve and hasn’t dismissed the notion of making a decision re:essendon by noting that Rutten still has a year to run on his contract like he did with Hinkley
2) he dismissed the board instability there which has been a disgrace and responsible for the despicable treatment of Rutten
3) still relying on KIA34 for solace when the original story (which I believe to a degree) has already been dispelled and now Clarkson is clearly seriously entertaining the idea of signing for Essendon
4) based on the above if you’re still confident then nothing up until the point of him signing for essendon will dispel your confidence
My champagnes still on ice brotherSo that’s two posters who said we should have champagne on ice who’ve now said it’s North or more time out. That’s disconcerting.

The basmati with my meal tonight was exceptional.Come on, mate. Let's be realistic... it is already miserable. We've had to put up with weeks of rice cooker shenanigans.
How about you reply to the first response I gave this? You guys are cracking me up. The walls are falling down and the empire is crumbling but all you can see are sunny skies and rainbows.

That was some of my favourite content!Come on, mate. Let's be realistic... it is already miserable. We've had to put up with weeks of rice cooker shenanigans.
Why would he be if he's not going there?Clarkson said on 9news he isn't concerned about Essendon's instability.
Are you suggesting that giving the scoop to a junior reporter in Adelaide airport isn't his preferred media strategy? How about you reply to the first response I gave this?
If he dismisses *Essendon as an option then that confirms it’s us. He’s not confirming where he’s coaching on 7 f***ing news.
Clearly a difficult concept for some to grasp. Are you suggesting that giving the scoop to a junior reporter in Adelaide airport isn't his preferred media strategy?
