The Voice stuff belongs here because those who advised Amy and co see what they did as art of an ongoing wider cultural/political fight of which the Voice is also a part.

The most foolish and ill-advised thing that Albanese has risked doing with this referendum is to legitimise old spud face as a genuine alternative leader for a lot of Australians who believe their views are not being considered by the current government. Dutton didn't have a snow flake's chance in hell before this. It should be odd to vote on something based on how others vote, rather than how you feel about it. But I guess that it has become more normal in the current climate where certain groups want to label anyone who disagrees with them as far right racists.

Many people are arguing against it but making it clear that they aren't a lowly no-voter. I feel that most of these people will actually vote no but don't want the public associations.

We are back to microwaving. The Rice Cooker was scrubbed out, re-packed into its original box and has been taken to the Op-Shop.

Not that it didn't work, it was just a bit too big for us and required a certain minimum volume (at least 2 cups of uncooked rice). We don't use that much in a single sitting and although I was getting pretty good at making fried rice, apparently I'm not allowed to make it twice a week. Dimmies as entre.
