Cold Chisel are an absolute genius band.

Add them to any of those "who I'd love to have seen in their prime" lists.

I've got a mate who grew up in London in the late 60s and early 70s. Their local music scene was s**t hot.

His list of "have seen bands" is pretty good. Has seen Led Zep live about 20 times (or so he says) and a whole bunch of other UK bands from that era. It'd have been like East coast Australia in the late 70s - Cold Chisel, AC/DC, Angels, Rose Tattoo, Radio Birdman, Saints (to a lesser degree). Heaps of other good music scenes around the place over the years.
Lucky enough to have seen them in 1982 not long before their first split. Was at La Trobe uni and I would have been 16. They were white hot.

Yep know the feeling, I was dragged to two Billy Joel concerts by my best mate who was a massive fan. As pay back I dragged him to The Cramps and Buzzcocks at the Palais.

Your mate definitely got the better end of the deal.

The Cramps were ****ing wild at Selinas in 1986.

My mate hated both concerts as much as I hated Billy Joel's. He did however enjoy the 2 ladies riffing guitars in underwear for the Cramps.

What’s not to love?

Did you wear a cape?

Brian would be the AC. Bon the DC.

Bon would be up there with Mick & Freddy. And l'm not a huge Queen fan.

Aus.has had some great frontmen;
. Scott
. Hutchence
. Early Barnes
. Bailey
. Thorpe
. St.John
. Neeson
A small selection who'd not be embarrassed on a world stage and take it over.

.
Agree on Bon Scott Hojy.

World class.

Doc hugely underrated.

Stevie Wright could go a bit.

He's right up there.

Pretty solid logic there.

At the same time, if some smartarse plays a Billy Joel song at my funeral, I swear I will come back to haunt them for the rest of their days.
well its a great last check to make sure you really are dead TOD

anyway bugger a quiet song at my funeral. Im going with "Don't want to know if you are lonely" by Husker Du
