Alberton Oval Redevelopment Update Video

Video is a timeline from October 2022 to January 2023. Blown away regarding the size of the new facility. Its hard to appreciate until you see the ground works visually.
Some great aerial views of the construction area.
I paused it many times to see the small details that are taking place especially in the January timeline.

Some great aerial views of the construction area. The football pitch area is standard size, its a great use of space and planning by PAFC. Can easily use it for footy related drills/practise session.

How many times did the drone get tangled in the ****ing cables you reckon?

Also flying a drown around operating mobile plant is just such a bloody stupid idea. Would never get away with it in my industry.

Cool shots though.

Jeebus it's more of a wasteland than West Lakes

Offices about as gutted as I feel towards the club at the moment

But good to see my company's products being used

The difference being of course that this is the redevelopment of the clubrooms into something much better to take us into the future - building on that continuous 152 year history and connection with the community that surrounds it.

The crows are the squatting part-time tenants on land that was never theirs in the first place.

I do know this

Was just surprised to see the extent of the refit in the existing building

haha still trying to get a 2nd oval to replace Kings Reserve. Why the hell do they need a 2nd oval just focus on developing Thebarton Oval. So if in March they get the approval it would be complete somewhere in 2025..

By that time we would have the Alberton redevelopment complete, new coach, paid off the remaining $6 mil debt and have plans for a future grandstand to replace the bowling club next to Fos Williams Family grandstand.
The only issue for this would be money.
Richmond is building a 65 mil grandstand, design wise looks good. PAFC should have a plan and incorporate a roof top bar/resturant, function hall for future AGMs and other facilities if needed. We've got the space so why not? Probably a 10 year plan if done right with collection of funds by State/Federal/PAFC.

A "two-way" grandstand on the eastern side of the main oval.
Can look at both the main oval or back across to the Hills and #2 paddock.

Eventually buy out all the houses east of the main oval and build a second oval the same dimensions as the MCG, to use for SANFL and junior games plus training purposes 😃💪

Should Build something where the old scoreboard was, behind the soccer pitch, similar to what Wrexham are replacing the Kop with. Doesn't have to be a heap of "corporate Boxes" but a nice area to Stand and open plan, similar to the Precinct, amongst Seating.

Yeah still illegal

To be honest

90% of videos you see on socials of drones are illegal
90% of drone videos taken by non-professional drone pilots are illegal.

I strongly suspect that a company like Sarah who publish a video in their name have hired a professional drone pilot who has all of the required accreditation to produce the video legally.

Yea agree with both of you. The Eastern side for a grandstand will give the members/supporters a different side view of the ground/game. Only problem is we are going to have carparks placed on that spot. Maybe in the future having an underground carpark would be better use of space, just like what Richmond are planning to do with their grandstand plan.

I've attached a birds eye view of the "future eastern grandstand". Looks like a good spot definitely have the space for it. Maybe the bowling club survives for a couple more years. Only issue would be the land for the eastern grandstand is not owned by the PAFC whereas the bowling club is. So planning approvals might be an issue regarding design since the council owns that part of the land?
