If you're after a borderline tall who can chop out in the ruck and play for a heap of years - soccer is your sport. Forget basketball for talls, but get your midfield leader who becomes the games record holder from there - Shawry was a state rep junior basketballer too.

For sure. I’m just pleased he’s well over 100kg. You’d expect him to gain up to 10kg given his age and our weights program.

Yeah, no senior games at Hawthorn for Damien Condon. I've always remembered the name, and I'd say it's because he was with the Hawks at the same time (mid-80s) as Anthony Condon, who ended up a star player. I would have assumed all along that those two were brothers, but they weren't, and I've seen nothing to suggest they were even related.
