for a forward/centre, I'd think you're main task is to score? Not that I know anything about basketball of course. Can be IF you are Great Defensively and I doubt he is

Absolutely not the case. Big men are mostly in the game for rebounding and defense in the modern sport.for a forward/centre, I'd think you're main task is to score? Not that I know anything about basketball of course.
12 rebounds is very impressivefor a forward/centre, I'd think you're main task is to score? Not that I know anything about basketball of course.
it is good. Even if he didn't score much.12 rebounds is very impressive
Yeah, I think you just exposed yourself as not knowing a lot about basketball with this comment Jen.for a forward/centre, I'd think you're main task is to score? Not that I know anything about basketball of course.

He's not going to get drafted. Whilst his height is rare, it's not rare enough. He's not powerful enough of a mover to be less than a clinical pro. If he was to pursue NBA, it'd be via Europe with him trying to get a look in once he's fully developed his body and game.Which is why I did say I didn’t - only watch the boomers sometimes and that’s as much as my basketball knowledge goes

The college year will finish late may. basketball before then, but you'd expect him to finish his subjects too.I don't know anything about the scheduling of the college season and the NBA draft... is there ANY chance Condon could be with us before the next AFL season or near the start of the season, or is it more likely to be late next year looking to season 2026 before he potentially plays any VFL at all?
A rookie contract earning more than any AFL player might be one.Legit. How could you pass up getting a hit-out to Pendles
Keep playing better and better each game

Honestly his 10 points and 8 rebounds and 7 points with 12 rebounds since then are both better games for the type of player he projects to be.That was his best game, but been lower numbers since then.
Bit up and down atm
We can cheer for him all we want - He's not an NBA prospect.I’ve lost track - are we cheering for him or not?
And I imagine, unless he is doing something outstanding week in and out, it's gonna be tough to break into the top 100, less alone the top 50 for the draftWe can cheer for him all we want - He's not an NBA prospect.
He didn't make ESPNs preseason Top 100 players in College Basketball: https://www.espn.com.au/mens-colleg...ketball-player-rank-2024-25-preseason-top-100
He hasn't done anything to suggest that that lack of ranking was erroneous, even if he's been solid.
He's an okay basketball player, but he'll never make the NBA.

There's comparatively few basketball players in the world making more money than Condon is likely to make in the AFL playing basketball though - There's the NBA, the very top level of European basketball, and that's about it.Better than OK, but going by participation rates, being drafted to the NBA anywhere in the draft is akin to going pick 1 or 2 in the National Draft.
Agree. Aussie Rules might not have the huge dollars, but by participation rates, it's the easiest sport in the world to earn a really good wage. There's comparatively few basketball players in the world making more money than Condon is likely to make in the AFL playing basketball though - There's the NBA, the very top level of European basketball, and that's about it.
Especially if you're 6'11", can run, and know the rules of AFL footy. Basically guaranteed 5-7 years on an AFL list at that point.Agree. Aussie Rules might not have the huge dollars, but by participation rates, it's the easiest sport to earn a really good wage.
