Whether it's giving us pick 25 or giving us pick 25 and something come back doesn't change the fact that the Crows will be giving up pick 25. So no chance has changed.

Lets wait and see how far off you are, it may be a good laugh for us all.

He clearly has good connections. One of the most well respected in the trade/draft industry.
Lol, like Reid is going to give him the inside word.

Stop deluding yourself.

Well Cal Twomey has come out and said on Gettable that the Crows will offer their Pick 25 and it'll be one of the first trades down in trade week.
ANB is a good player. Not every player is going to be a first stringer player like Gawn and Petracca. He is a very solid player who has been consistent over many years.

We're letting him leave on personal grounds not because we want him gone obviously.
If we give you 25, we'd want a F2 coming with ANB.

Twomey is a draft guy - his trade info is weak.

Ahh, so now you are changing you stance from the crows giving you 25 for ANB to now you giving something back.... got it. so my assertion thatr the Crows wont be giving up 25 for ANB you agree with.
Far be it for me to stick up for the Crows, but 25 for ANB given his age and circumstances, they would burn the place down.
Hell yes we would.

lol dreaming. you wanted a 2nd rounder for McAdam. ANB is 10 times the player of McAdam. More consistent, more professional, a better leader and far more durable.
You do realise that Adelaide are not obliged to take pity on us for a bad trade, yeah?

I agree that he's worth #25, but we hold zero leverage here. He's returning to SA on compassionate grounds – the club won't stand in his way, so our best hope is for Adelaide to negotiate in good faith.

I'm not saying that he's worth that or not worth it. I'm saying it's rich for Adelaide fans to say that he's not worth it, considering they believed McAdam was worth a mid 2nd rounder last year. Some even wanted a late first.

Regarding the leverage, I can't comment as we don't know the full story.. I'm not sure what the compassionate grounds are. Having a baby isn't grounds for a compassionate leave so I'm assuming that there's more to the story that isn't being reported? Regardless, I would assume that the Dees and Adel had an agreement on a deal before they agreed to let him go.

Pickett also wanted to go to WA on 'compassionate grounds' and the club did stand in the way so I don't know how you can say we 'won't stand in his way' like we're a club full of moral leaders. Unless you believe the reports that Pickett is homesick and spoke about his desire to go back to WA but stopped short of saying his desire was to indeed go home. Throw in Petracca who is clearly desperate to leave and I would say his medical trauma is 'compassionate grounds' and we definitely 'stood in his way'.

Pick 25 is marginally overs. Pick 30 is about right. But considering you only have pick 25, then that's what will be traded. Pick 40 odd won't cut it.
Why would we give up getting Dodson with P24. Which is a massive need for us, for a 29 year old who is a B grader?
If the club did that, they would need to be sacked.

a) you don't even know that you want Dodson or rate Dodson.
b) You don't even know if he'll still be there anyway.
c) you don't know when a bid will come for your father/son pick.

do you just look at a bigfooty mock draft, realise that's he's from SA, watch some YouTube videos and go 'we need ruck depth, we'll get him at pick 25'? Have you tracked him through his junior career, analysed all of the other prospects in that range, got access to his psych testing results, etc.?

Yes, ANB is a B grader. whats your point? 50% of your team are B graders, 40% C graders and 10% A graders (rankin, Laird and Dawson). Labelling him a B grader is exactly why you're getting him and not spending a first rounder. Pick 25 is slightly overs which is why you'll get another later pick back.

ANB makes the Crows best 22 better, I’ve got no idea why some people are talking down his worth because of age or ability. He’s a proven big game performer and has been very consistent for 4 straight seasons.

He will allow us to keep Rankine in the midfield for longer periods, or even swap with Rankine in the midfield if he’s struggling to break a tag and help with clearances.

Since when is 29 old? Everyone thought Danger would retire early due to his game style, but he’s still winning finals for his club at 34.

We'll happily give you an F2 of a premiership contender for ANB.

That's what you have us for McAdam, and that's fair.

You guys pursued McAdam. We didn't even ask for ANB.

So stand in ANB's way. That's fine.

Except you guys announced he was going before any club even expressed an interest in him.

Obviously there's MUCH more than just being homesick.

nah twomey's trade info is pretty good in recent years, He certainly was and still is a draft specialist buta lot of his contacts are all the same people, namely player agents.
Well, lets hope there's noise of a possible slider in the draft we want around this pick and change our mind. Everyone except Melbourne supporters is saying he isn't worth pick 25.

lol @ Adelaide fans still in denial about paying 25.

It’s been reported via multiple sources as being basically a done deal.

Sounds like there’s going to be some disappointed Crows fans when this gets done.

Feel free to show me the source quoting an AFC official!

The media love to pretend they are in the know... when they have nfi!
