If Corey Enright has a few more betteer than average games and 2 or 3 BOG's he will get a AA jumper ahead of Sam Fisher whos last month and a bit has been good..

Nick Stevens has had a good year. Judd is also a good choice nothing against him but then you could also place black in there b.Green (melb) and mc veigh has had his best season yet.

so just cos mcveigh's had his best season yet he deserves a spot does he?? judd's had one of his worst seasons and he still is more deserving than what mcveigh is. tell me what it is that mcveigh has done or even stevens has done but more what mcveigh has done that makes him a better choice than judd?

isnt it 3 small/tall forwards/defenders in the starting 18?

B: Brian Lake (WB) - Matthew Scarlett (GEE) - Dale Morris (WB)
HB: Graham Johncock (ADL) - Nathan Bock (ADL) - *someone here*
C: Sam Mitchell (HAW) - Adam Cooney (WB) - James Bartel (GEE)
Foll: Dean Cox (WCE) - Joel Corey (GEE) - Gary Ablett (GEE)
HF: Jason Akermanis (WB) - Jonathon Brown (BRI) - Alan Didak (COL)
F: Paul Medhurst (COL) - Lance Franklin (HAW) - Brendon Fevola (CAR)
Int: Brent Harvey (NM), Simon Black (BRI), Matthew Pavlich (FRE), Aaron Sandilands (FRE)

off the top of my head.

Scarlett is the AA FB by a mile, best backman in the league. Towels up everyone he plays on. As well as getting 20 or more touches and setting up the game from defence. Star.

B: H. Shaw, B. Lake, L. Gilbee
HB: G. Johncock, N. Bock, S. Fisher
C: M. Richardson, A. Cooney, S. Thompson
HF: A. Didak, J. Brown, R. Murphy
FF: J. Aker, L. Franklin, P. Chapman

Foll: D. Cox, B. Harvey, G. Ablett

Int: Sandilands, D. Milburn , P. Medhurst, C. Judd.

Can Nick Riewoldt make a late charge for Brown's spot? He has been solid the last month, but started slow.

Lindsay Gilbee probably won't make it, but I couldn't think of any others.

Sam Mitchell won't make it, much better mids than him.

Chapman another iffy selection, but the AA selectors love the Cats, remember? Haha.

Mark Mc Veigh has had
more inside 50's per game
more shots on goal
than judd
ranked 2nd in kicks per game
19th for inside 50's per game
thts why and is only .7 of a disposal of judd
both have massive influences on if there teams win or not

Not a great first up effort newbie, this AA side is piss poor.

**Scarlett has been clearly the premier FB of the AFL... again.

**Neither Cornes brother is within a bull's roar, their coach even labelled them as underperforming.

**Your forward line is a mess. Do you honestly think they'll pick that many KP forwards? Rediculous.

**Bartel hasn't warranted an AA this year, nor has Sam Fisher who has been very dissapointing in 2008. He has struggled defensively.

**Gilbee??? Over Morris, Bolton, Milburn, Johncock. Methinks not.

**Hille, Bradshaw and Stevens not consistent enough for mine.

C. Bolton - M. Scarlett - G. Johncock
H. Shaw - N. Bock - D. Morris

mcveigh is averaging just 0.4 more inside 50s than judd but the whole point of geting inside 50s is getting goal assists and judd averages more of them than what mcveigh does even thouhg mcveigh pushes forward more. mcveigh gets more shots on goal because he pushes up into the forward line every now and then. judd has 9 goals from 14 games this year, which isn't bad for a true midfielder. i would much prefer a player who gets more clearances, goal assists, contested possessions, hard ball gets, disposals and tackles than someone who averages more shots on goal, and just 0.4 more inside 50s.

Best team yet, although from a Geelong perspective, Selwood will get in over Corey if he continues this form.

Well done though!

As a Geelong man, how could you not include Scarlett or Corey? Not because you should be loyal because you barrack for the Cats but because you have first hand access to witnessing how clearly dominant they are every week.

Scarlett was very, very close. But, I just think that Lake has been the better defender. The next 7 weeks will tell all though.

And, I just don't rate Joel Corey. He is not a match-winner. And, never gets tagged.

Cooney, Thompson, Harvey, Ablett and Judd have all been much better.

There is no way they will name Harvey and Thompson at half forward. Sure Thompson does push forward to snag a couple, but he ain't a true half forward flanker.

Why? The guy leaks more goals than Nathan Carroll & Michael Firrito.

the real aus team will consist of hawks dogs cats

other teams will be lucky to get a look in

im not expecting one pies player to get in after the recent years of clement presti and co rarely being recognised

for that reason i believe collingwood players who don't deserev to get in will get in. this will be only due to eddie's whingeing and sooking over the years and the selectors will be too scared not to put pies players in, just as they were in the hall of fame game when they put pendlebury in just to keep eddie and all collingwood supporters quiet. and i know you're going to say pendlebury should have been in the team so don't even say it because that's not what this thread is about. just don't say pendlebury deserved his spot, i already know you think that and please don't try to prove why.

wow. Dale Morris is really under rated

I had him. He and Scarlett I see as the only genuine "locks" ATM.

Give me the stats on the Reserve Coleman, but from what I've seen he is a quality defender.

And, more goals than Firrito, now that is harsh.

Here is the thread created for it:

I rate Lake as being a very good defender, but he does leak goals and I don't think he's done enough to warrant selection ahead of Scarlett in the AA team. Hudghton and Bolton would get nods before him at this stage.
