daniel kerr is better than chris judd!!!

Hate to burst your bubble but i think most people would choose Chris Judd and even Cousins who hasnt been at his peak this year over Kerr. Id say Judd has been the best eagle so far this year

The real AA team at halfway

B - Nathan D Brown Matt Scarlett Aussie Jones

HB - Adem Yze Chad Cornes Adam McPhee

C - Nigel Lappin Mark Ricciuto Chris Judd

HF - James Hird Warren Tredrea Nick Riewoldt

F - Phil Matera Fraser Gehrig Jason Akermanis

R - Jeff White Paul Hasleby Adam Simpson

I/C - Luke McPharlin Matt Lappin Barry Hall Lenny Hayes

Neitz

An interesting argument could be made for Mal Michael - again the best spoiler, so that good enough to get you the AA FB spot?

I would have Harley ahead of Chad Cornes. Not based on stats of course, but in terms of beating your opponent consistently which is what key position defenders should be based on.

Chad Cornes racks up the stats, but he plays too loose for my liking.

B: Nathan Brown (melb), Matthew Scarlett, Ben Johnson

HB: Aussie Jones, Chad Cornes, Matthew Lappin

C: Nick Dal Santo, Paul Hasleby, James Hird

HF: Jason Akermanis, Warren Tredrea, Nick Riewoldt

F: Phillip Matera, Fraser Gehrig, Brendan Fevola

FOLL: Jeff White, Chris Judd, Mark Ricciuto

INTER: Adam McPhee, Nigel Lappin, Luke McPharlin, Peter Everitt

That'll have to do.

this is the best team for AA so far in this thread.

the only thing i can see wrong with it is that there is only 2 tall defenders.

in which case i think harley or mcpharlin would be the next 2 tall backs in line but dont think they would be in front of any of the 4 small backs here

Although then might make McPharlin CHB and take Mal Michael at FB on the 'take the better defender' argument

The only problem with these teams is that they play no-one and really at the end of the day mean nothing, that's why we need a full weekend off and bring back state of origin footy. Even if you make it the end of the season and but the International Rules back to a bi-annual event rotating with state of origin.

Yes, but thats voted on by the fans, who as you can say are biased. But from memory in the 'official' poles on TV and the papers have judd in front of kerr.

really? as of two weeks ago kerr was ahead of judd in the official pole in the paper... but i haven't checked lately so you could be right. :)
anyway, there is no doubt that kerr is underrated, especially by Victorians...

Fevola has been marginally better than Hall this year but yet some are taking him over Fevola?

Almost half of his goals come from outside 50 on tight angles... surely this would break the deadlock? 50/50 really.

You are joking aren't you.Barry kills him in every stat category except goals where he is 3 behind.
He has taken 40 more marks more importantly from a forwards point of view.

I do agree with you that Kerr is underated and that would probably would be why Judd would get picked before Kerr if they has equal performances through the year. I just think in my opinion Judd has performed better, as Kerr can get a bit hotheaded when he is frustrated and lose frees for the team.

Possessions don't matter for full-forwards. And I said Hall is marginally better than Fevola. Stick Fevola into a team like the Saints and with the quality delivery he gets, he'll kick 100 no worries. Besides, Hall is more of a CHB type - but you're stupid if you think Fevola is not in his class in terms of a forward player.

Almost half his goals (16.4) have been outside 50 - and he's won matches for us this year. Has Hall won matches for his side this year? That saud, why can't they both be in at this stage? There is not much difference between the two at the moment - and doesn't Fev have more scoring shots at goal despite two 100+ thrashings?

Chad Cornes can not possibly get All Australian Center-Half-Back, the main reason is because he doesn’t play there, he plays loose man in the back line. Its out of McPharlin and Harley. Also anyone who doesn’t have Scarlett at full back has no idea

Neitz – 0
Lloyd – 2
Tredrea – 0
Rawlings – 0

Not bad last four weeks hey?

And what about the other matches? You can't just ignore seven other matches.
