Smith has been woeful, miles from the squad let alone the team. Not sure why you'd give him a gig on the field then slap Laird on the bench.

Tbh can't see Hurley making it now, given how abysmal Essendon have been the last 10 weeks. Add Ibbotson to that mix, played every game so far this season- hardly missed a beat. Also Heath Shaw has been outstanding off Half back this season too.

Smith is lucky to be playing for Adelaide at the moment. Huge drop off compared to last year.

That is not right at all he has received coaches votes the last 2 weeks but your right he has dropped off, after two concussions in 4 weeks he wasn't the same for a while but he's finding some good form

Was a bit of an over exaggeration, but he has dropped off massively from last year.

He is only young, so will bounce back no doubt.

McGovern the most unlucky. I think he was definitely going to make the side before injury cut him down.

sandilands should be all australian. not beaten this year. beat Goldstein twice. fact. Beat Nic nat and Jacobs. fact. To Goldstein's credit he did say Sandi is the toughest tap ruckmen to go against by far. his words. both should get in but Sandi has been totally ignored by the media, especially the victorian media which is on a Goldstein love fest. this has been one of Sandi's most consistent years ever. pretty impressive considering his age. i guess Sandi being the reigning all australian for multiple years is taken for granted
