Had one similar to this last year, thought we could perhaps sticky this to the top page Mods, be a good reference for all us punters who want to bet on the brownlow market :D

Any ways, who would you think has been good so far this season and I will continue to update this top post.

BACKS: Chris Newman - ?? - ??

HALF BACK: ?? - ?? -

CENTRE: ?? - Chris Judd - ??

HALF FORWARD: ?? - ?? - ??

FORWARDS: ?? - Lance Franklin - ??

RUCKS: Dean Cox - Dane Swan - Scott Pendlebury

INTERCHANGE: ?? - ?? - ?? - Aaron Sandilands

Now throw up your suggestions and I can update this post tomorrow or Wednesday, (or even the best Mods on BigFooty :D:thumbsu:).

Chris Judd? Are you serious?

Franklin has struggled so far, but will no doubt pick up form.

All others are pretty fair. I'll be ridiculed for this but Zac Dawson has been great in both games so far.

Embley has been best on ground in 1 match and 2nd/3rd best in the other so atm he would be on the wing. Obviously don't expect his performances to keep occurring though.

Embley a shoe in for a spot on the wing.

Dawes arguably the best performed key forward to date.

Gibbs with 50 kicks in two matches across half back.

Shaun Burgoyne in great touch.

Etc.

It's Rd 2, none of the above will probably end up making the side...

Yep, Enright is looking cherry ripe again this season

Deledio may join Enright in the backline as well

Franklin's been pretty medicore so far. Dawes or Riewoldt would take his spot.

Murphy would be in before Judd based on the first few rounds.

Enright would probably be the only Geelong player who I'd make a strong case for. Been phenomenal in both games. Bartel, Corey and Johnson would be the next closest, but I wouldn't find a spot for them at the moment. Johnson's been good, without kicking goals, which he probably needs to do to get selected. Most of the other usual suspects (Selwood, Chapman, Scarlett) have only played one game, or less. Andrew Embley has to be in at the moment.

Others I'd nominate (that weren't in the OP):

Gibbs
Deledio
Watson
O'Keefe
Mundy
Dawes
Hurley
J. Garlett
Rioli
Shuey

Kinda hard to throw up names at the moment considering different teams have versed oppositions of varying calibre. Saying that though, Murphy has been looking good. As has Garlett.

FB: Newman Merrett Enright
HB: O'Brien Reid Deledio
C: Embley Swan Pendlebury
HF: Burgoyne Hall O'Keefe
FF: Thomas Dawes Garlett
R: Cox Judd Bolton
INT: Ryder Mundy Rioli SUB: Shuey

Something like that

hmmm...
A hell of a lot of self promotion here...
How about people start nominating players that dont play for their own team?

Mine so far...

B: Newman ? Grundy
HB: Gibbs ? Enright
C: Pendelbury Watson Embley
HF: Burgoyne Dawes O'Keefe
F: Garlett Franklin Rioli
R: Cox, Swan, Judd
Int: Mundy, Bolton, Johnson ?

Broughton couldnt pass wind never mind a football. Started off very poorly. Would have him Mayne, Mundy, Pav, Sandilands, McPharlin, Grover and a few others as starting the year of better

Deledio is a backflanker, Broughton plays a similar role.

Broughton is clearly ahead of Deledio this year. Take from that what you will.

Gibbs would be a monty after two rounds. Definitely not at half back - has played midfield/forward of centre.

1st for marks (27 - 9 ahead of Young)
1st for kicks (50 - 1 ahead of Swan)
1st for goal assists (6 - 1 ahead of Wright and Ryder)
3rd for inside 50s (15 - 4 behind Young)
Disposal efficiency of 84% (best of the mids from what I can gather)

Has been playing a primarily outside role but when you're that good with the footy and you're using it in the forward half of the ground, it's hardly a negative.

Murphy and Garlett would also be right around the mark, Judd not far off.

Of course, it's only been 2 rounds and we've had it fairly easy thus far.

Gibbs would be a monty after two rounds. Definitely not at half back - has played midfield/forward of centre.

Don't like agreeing with you because you are one of the most biased posters going around but you are spot on. Gibbs would be a lock after 2 rounds and is probably leading the brownlow.

Rioli = lock

Sandi = lock

Cox = lock

Pendles = lock

Swan = lock

Enright = lock

Ryder has been fantastic so far this year, getting more of the ball, taking more marks and kicking goals...problem is, his versatility means that he hasn't dominated in a set position (unless you consider ruck/fwd a position?) and this might cost him a spot in the AA side if he keeps his form up.

Would some key defenders please stand up. Bolton and O'Keefe for the Swans. Most should agree on most of the names mentioned since there has only been two rounds. I still don't get the Judd hate, after two rounds he is obviously thereabouts.

b4f is a quality poster jim.
