Some stiff shots in the Saraya's rules match, including the finisher. Thought Hayter hit her head on the table that didn't break.

Wasn't aware the 6 man tornado tag was NO DQ. Caught me by surprise when Cassidy used a backpack with a brick in it. Monster top rope chokeslam from Big Bill to Mark Briscoe through the table.

Nice surprise of Minoru Suzuki for the TNT Title open challenge. Countout finish was shit. Looks like Shibata might be next in line for a shot?

I'm interested in this trios title storyline, Yuta is a champ but really doesn't want anything to do with Claudio and PAC.

Good lucha 3 way showcase match, they did stuff like this on Rampage like 6+ months ago, need more of it.

lmao at Juice Robinson dressed up as a lumber jack.

Love these guys haha

Tony Khan shoots himself in the foot. You need storylines, which to be fair, like why are they wrestling.. It was a brilliant TV
but conext would have been nice

If they’ve sold **** all tickets to Grand Slam.
If they can do 20,000 people in a market where they barely have TV, that's fantastic.

What did New Japan do? A thousand a show? What would TNA do? ROH?

The mistake is comparing them to WWE. It's not like AEW is the kind of thing fathers and daughters are going to. Its Not about selling toys and lunchboxes. It's a different product.

20,000 at a gig is a lot of people.

Still would be a stupid decision to have run it an Suncorp over a smaller venue if that's all they can manage.

The mistake is the stadium they chose. Embarrassing if they need to move it and embarrassing if they have a lot of empty seats

Hangman's ultimate face turn will be legendary.

Until then, I LOVE the edge he has. He has some serious psycho stepdad energy

Na. Keep him as a heel as long as possible. It's been working great.

He's a chip on the shoulder type of personality, he's tapped into it. Wasn't a fan of his face run after he won the belt.

Tony (or the team responsible) have never been the ones to choose appropriate locations for respective markets. For all the reasons already mentioned, the ticket sales haven't been surprising (in context they aren't that bad, but as you said it's about stadium choice). AEW has always (not a bad thing) catered for the hardcore wrestling audience, but Tony will always do what Tony does.

Surely 20k on one side won't look too bad. WWE have done it with their stadium shows, so shouldn't really be a huge problem. The only issue IMO is the experience for the fans themselves would be infinitely better in a 20k under the roof arena.
